You arrived at Blooming Blaire's fairly quickly, much earlier than you had planned. You entered the building excitedly. You had an entire list planned out in your head if what you wanted, and you had a mission to get every single one of them.

You travelled down the first aisle quickly, looking at every succulent plant they had. Rochelle followed, trying her hardest to keep up with you from how fast you were moving. She didn't want to miss anything you did.

Rochelle worshipped you. She was proudly obsessed, and would declare so if you asked. You were her everything.

Her thoughts were cut off when you handed her a plant.

"Look at how cute!" You exclaimed. "Look at it's flowers!"

Venus stepped beside you, poking the flower with her finger. "It's adorable."

"Uh, yeah!" Rochelle nodded and agreed. "It's super cute."

She loved you a lot, don't get it mistaken, but plants weren't really her thing. Her thing was shopping and mall trips and expensive dates! Yours seemed more on the....bland side.

Not that it was an issue! You just weren't everything she was. Which wasn't an issue, of course. It just made getting along a little more difficult than she had planned.

She stared at you, away from the plants, her mind rushing with euphoria at the sight of you being excited. She walked up to you and wrapped her arms around your waist. You snuggled against her and brought up a small cactus.

"It's so pretty." You hummed. "I love it."

She nodded. "It's... definitely something."

You smacked your lips. "I know you don't like these things, but could you act a little more, I don't know, excited? Even if it's fake?"

She felt her heart break. Your very first disagreement!

"I-I'm sorry." She mumbled. "I just...I'm sorry."

You stopped. "Rochelle, it's fine."

"But-"

"But it's fine."

You turned away from her and focused on a plant that Venus held up to you. Your enthusiasm was gone, seeing how strange you looked to others. Rochelle felt her heart break more.

She ran through her mind to think of something, anything, that could put a smile on your face. She turned and looked at the plants, searching for something small and cute. She found a small sempervivum succulent and held it up. It seemed like something you'd enjoy, so she brought it over to you and tapped your shoulder.

You turned, only to be met with a small succulent in her hands.

"Isn't it cute?" She asked.

You smiled widely. "It is! Venus! Venus look!"

She turned as well and stared at the small plant.

"That is adorable!"

Venus gave Rochelle a glare. It went undetected by you, as you were too busy fawning over the tiny succulent. Rochelle gave a side smirk. She would win. You played the game well, and it appeared that Venus was the other contestant. But no one was as dedicated to you as Rochelle. No one was as in love or as obsessed as she was. That meant no one could win but her.

She would make sure of it.

You went to the front desk, a smile on your face and small taps from your foot. You waited patiently for the cashier to ring up the plant, and once he did he handed it back to you. You gave him a sweet grin and paid.

"Thank you so much!" You said.

He nodded and watched as you walked out of the store with your new plant. Rochelle and Venus followed. Rochelle rushed to catch up with you and grab your hand. You allowed her to, and you intertwined your fingers with hers.

You began your walk home. It was a bit of a long walk, but that was fine with you. Rochelle stayed at your side on the opposite side of the road. You gave her a wide smile. "Thank you for coming with me today."

"Of course." She responded. "I love seeing you get excited over things. It's cute."

You blushed and looked away. Then, you cleared your throat and gathered your own courage.

"You're pretty cute too, you know."

Venus made a gagging sound. "That's disgusting."

You laughed and released Rochelle's hand to playfully punch Venus.

You arrived at your house not long after, surprising you with how quickly you had arrived.

You kissed Rochelle goodbye and made your way to your bedroom. Then, you carefully watered the plant and tucked yourself in for bed.

Rochelle glared at Venus and walked away from her, leaving Venus to walk all alone to her home.

Rochelle couldn't believe how much she hated Venus. Venus hadn't even down anything! But her closeness with you was a problem, and it was a problem Rochelle didn't have an issue fixing.

She walked carefully before her phone pinged with a message.

Venus:
I don't know what you're doing, but stop. She doesn't want you. She's confused. You're moving too fast.

Rochelle:
She can make her own decisions, bitch.

Venus:
She's my best friend. I know her better than you.

Rochelle:
If you knew the effort I've put into her, you'd know that's not true.

Rochelle didn't respond to anymore messages from Venus. She didn't want Venus around. She didn't want Venus to be your friend. She didn't want Venus to be alive.

Rochelle made it to her house, and she went directly to her room. She hated Venus with a passion.

But she loved you with equal passion.
