Rochelle smiled as she typed on her phone. She had been messaging you all day, almost every minute she sent out a text. It made her heart flutter with affection. How precious your relationship was to her. She didn't want to trade it for the world. You were perfect for her, as was your relationship. It seemed like the heavens had sent down an angel for her.
She walked into her classroom in a daze. She felt high from all the attention she received from you. All she ever wanted was your attention and affection, whether she, or you, knew it or not. She grinned as another message pinged on her phone.
You:
Meet you at lunch!Rochelle:
It's lunch time already?You:
Yeah, silly. Hurry up!She grinned and made a beeline straight to the cafeteria where you sat. She pulled up a chair to the table and sat across from you, a wide smile on her face.
"I'm so happy you're here!" She chirped. You winced at her excitement.
"Yeah, it's only been a few hours though." You reminded.
"A few hours too long!" She scoffed. "Duh!"
You shook your head. "No, not too long. It's just hours."
She rolled her eyes playfully. "You should be excited like I am!"
"Why? So I can have unrealistic expectations? Pass." You bit into the disgusting food you had on your tray.
She bit into her own, cringing at the textures. You spit it into a napkin and tossed it onto the plastic tray. It was absolutely disgusting.
Rochelle didn't mind, though. She was just happy to get to eat lunch with you. She just wanted your attention.
You watched as she ate neatly. You knew she had to be faking it. No one actually ate as gracefully as she did. She didn't seem to pay attention to your staring, and instead focused on her food.
Or pretended to, at least. She felt her face heat up from you staring. It felt good to her. She finally had you.
You looked around the cafeteria, your eyes spotting Venus across the room. You stood up and tucked your chair under the table. "I'll be right back." You hummed.
You made your way over to her. She squealed in excitement and reached up to bring you into a hug. You smiled at her. "Why don't you come eat with us?"
"Sure!" She said, and she jumped up and grabbed her tray. She walked with you over to your table where Rochelle still sat.
Rochelle stared with hostile eyes. Oh, how badly she hated Venus. She wanted Venus dead. Not gone, not separated from you, dead. The only thing good Rochelle could ever do for you, if she couldn't do anything else of course, was to kill Venus.
But she wouldn't. That was your friend.
But she so would, and she would make it as painful as possible. Rochelle knew Venus wouldn't last in a fight if you were watching.
Rochelle hated Venus so bad she felt her food rise to her throat. God, she hated that plant monster.
"Hey." Venus called out to Rochelle. She eyed her suspiciously.
"Take good care of (Y/N) for me, okay?" Venus hummed. "She's a good girl. You should feel awfully lucky."
Rochelle rolled her eyes. "I know how to handle her." She said.
"Well, I'm just saying. She's a good person, so she needs a good partner." Venus nodded. "Please be that for her."
Rochelle nodded and looked away. She couldn't stand Venus any more.
Just fucking die. Just die. Just take a knife and cut your wrists all the way up. Filet your own fucking neck. Stick a hot curling wand through your stomach. You're a bitch. I hate you I hate you I hate you I hate you I hate you. You don't deserve her. You don't deserve to be her friend. You don't deserve anything she has to offer. You are nothing compared to her. Rochelle's thoughts were cut off by your loud giggle at a joke Venus had made.
Your giggle should have belonged to Rochelle, not Venus. Why did Venus get to hear it? What was so special about her? Why did you insist on her being your friend?
You turned to Rochelle, who still sat deep in thought.
"Hey, let's go to Blooming Blaire's after school!" You exclaimed.
Rochelle blinked blankly. "Uh, sure."
"I know plants are boring to you." You pouted. "You don't have to come with us, it's okay."
"No, no. I want to go." Rochelle stood. "I'd love to, actually. If you like it, then so do I."
You nodded and turned to Venus. "You're coming, right?"
"Of course, I have to get me some more Brugmansia's!"
You nodded again. "Nice! Let's go!"
You took Venus's hand and led the way out the school building.
