You woke to the smell of food simmering. Slowly, your eyes opened, revealing the bed you laid in. You were still stuck with Rochelle.

You didn't expect a change, but there was still a small part of you that hoped that everything would be a dream. Though the disappointment of still being captive ate at you, you found it more bearable with time.

You rolled on your back and stared at the ceiling.

If you were being honest, it was only really bearable when Rochelle wasn't around. Seeing her face, hearing her voice, feeling her presence, all of it ruined you emotionally.

A hum caught your attention, and you quickly glanced at the door, the only thing separating you from Rochelle. She began to hum a song, and you controlled the urge to roll your eyes and cringe.

How you felt was strange. When away from Rochelle, you wanted to laugh at her, your disgust far too bold to be ignored. But when she was around, you feared her tremendously.

The sound of the humming stopped, and your body immediately tensed. Fear overtook you, and you watched the door, waiting in anticipation for her to turn the knob. After a few moments, your fears became real, and the doorknob slowly turned. You flipped on your side again and laid still, praying that she wouldn't approach you.

Rochelle shuffled in the background, opening drawers and rummaging through things. After a few minutes, you heard the door shut, and you exhaled in relief. You slowly rolled over, but to your horror, Rochelle stood directly behind you.

"I was hoping that you'd be awake!" She grinned cheerfully.

Your eyes widened, and you sat up abruptly. She held 2 plates of steaming food, and you eyed it carefully.

"Oh, don't give me that look!" She giggled. "I figured we could eat dinner together!"

She took a seat on the mattress, sitting directly beside you. Then, she handed you a plate.

What looked like pasta with meat sauce sat on the plate. You gave her a glance, watching her every move to see if it was some sort of test. She ate happily.

Her plate was quickly finished, and she turned to you to see your reaction. You hadn't touched the fork.

"It's delicious!" She tried. "You would love it!"

You squinted. Between her cheerful mood and the expecting look she gave you, you were unsure about the dinner she prepared.

Finally, after a few long minutes, you lifted the fork.

She watched you as you brought the food to your lips.

Rochelle didn't make a sound as you finished your dinner. Instead, she held a certain kind of air around her that made your skin crawl. Something was suspicious. The only issue was that you couldn't place your finger on what seemed off.

She stood and patted her skirt down. Then, she grabbed her plate. "Come on, let's take our dishes to the sink."

You stood carefully, not wanting to disobey or make her upset. You readied yourself to see the remnants of Venus. Your heart rate increased, and with every step you took towards the door, you could feel the adrenaline increase. Your heartbeat sounded in your ears, and you began to have cold flashes. Ignoring the dizziness you felt coming on, you stepped through the doorway.

Venus was nowhere to be seen. There was no blood, no flesh, no hair, nothing. It was as if she had never been in the dorm at all. You looked to Rochelle in confusion. Had she really disposed of Venus in that short amount of time?

Rochelle tilted her head to the side.

She knew what you were thinking, but the fact that you still thought about Venus made her blood boil. Rochelle had just made you dinner, couldn't you think about her for once?

She held a tight smile. "What is it, my love?"

You stammered, looking for the proper words to express what you felt.

"V-Venus?? She was....but she's....where?"

"Who?" Rochelle furrowed her brows in feigned confusion. "What are you talking about, silly?"

"Venus isn't here...!" You looked around the small room, searching for any evidence of the body.

"Venus?" Rochelle scrunched up her nose as she spoke. "Who's that?"

"What?" You looked at Rochelle in panic. "You know!"

She shook her head no. "Come on, stop playing games and put the plate in the sink! I've got to do dishes tonight before class tomorrow!"

You closed your mouth. Talking about Venus definitely wouldn't help your situation, and with Rochelle denying the very existence of Venus, you doubted she'd give you an answer anyway.

You doubted she had the time to clean up Venus, dispose of her, and make dinner. Something wasn't adding up. Where could she have put Venus that was close by, yet hidden enough to not get caught? Something wasn't right.

Venus couldn't have been far.

You eyed the leftover meat that sat on the stove as you approached the sink. Rochelle huffed, knowing exactly what you were thinking.

"It's cow, (Y/N)." Venus said with a newfound sour tone. "It's not Venus meat."

You breathed a sigh of relief. At least you didn't eat your friend.

Rochelle let out a dry chuckle as you sat the plate in the sink. "You really think that lowly of me? Really?" She crossed her arms. "You honestly think I'd cook Venus and actually eat the bitch?"

You looked to the ground. With her new attitude, you were sure something bad was coming.

"Go back to the fucking bedroom. You're welcome for dinner, by the way."

You turned on your heel and rushed to the bedroom. You curled up under the blankets, desperate for shelter and comfort.

Rochelle gripped the sink as she stared down into the dirty dish water. Cooking you dinner wasn't enough. Giving you shelter wasn't enough. What more did you want? A vacation???

That's it, Rochelle thought. She just had to take you away from your home. You'd cling to whatever seemed familiar, and Rochelle would make sure that she was the only bit of familiarity you had.

It seemed like the perfect plan, except there were a few tiny holes. Where would she take you? And how would she get there? And how would she survive once you got there?

There was a lot to think about, but Rochelle felt determined.

She would make you cling to her, no matter the battle she'd have to fight.

Rochelle needed to plan as soon as possible. She needed backup plans, too.

It was all in the name of love, though, right?
