Looking back at (Y/n), Phil saw her eyes were closed and her breathing was evening out. He wanted to make sure she was okay, to hold her as she told him she was all right. So, as soon as Alan got out of the car to put the monkey with on the doorstep of the vet, Phil jumped out of the car and opened the door to her side, (Y/n) watching as he looked into her eyes. Climbing out to join him, she let out a breath as she was pulled into his arms, his hand holding her head close to him.
"Are you all right?" he asked hurriedly when he pulled away, looking her over for anything that might be life threatening. The bruise on her jaw was slowly getting worse, and he saw the cut on her cheek and brushed his thumb against it gently, causing her to hiss and jerk her head away a little. "(Y/n)?"
"I'm fine, I'm fine. It's okay," she answered, her arms around his torso.
"You're not hurt anywhere else?"
"Phil, really, I'm okay. A few scratches here and there but other than that, I'm fine," she assured him, putting a hand on his chest.
"Good. I want me to be the only one getting shot in this relationship, all right?" he said, drawing her closer to him.
"I'd prefer if neither of us did," she spoke, making him smile down at her. Hearing the screeches of the monkey brought them back, and they looked to see Alan placed the monkey at the door, talking to it. "Come on, we'd better go."
"Yeah, agreed," Phil said, looking down at his watch. They both climbed back into the car, but Alan was still talking to the monkey, giving it a cigarette. (Y/n) rubbed her face a little in exhaustion as Phil shouted, "Alan! Come on! Let's go!" Alan looked back at Phil, talking to the monkey a little more, before ringing the bell outside the veterinarian's office and running towards the car, opening the car door and making Stu and (Y/n) scoot over.
Speeding down the road, (Y/n) looked out the window as they approached the large building, watching it grow closer and closer as Chow neared it. Ready to get Teddy back, she sighed in relief. They had Chow, they had the codes, now all they had to do was get them both up to Kingsley, and they could have Teddy back.
Standing in the elevator on their way up, Chow pressed the button for the top floor, gentle elevator music playing in the background. (Y/n) leaned her back against the metal wall as Phil leaned against his shoulder next to her, Chow in front of them. He began to gentle sway to the music as he sang along. "If I could save time in a bottle, the first thing that I'd like to doooo," Alan began to join in on his singing. "Is to save every day till eternity passes away, just to spend them with you."
"Are you guys seriously this calm?" Stu demanded, his nervous wreck self a little peeved at their leisure.
"Relax, Stuart. It's classic switcheroo. I give him money, he gives us Teddy," Chow shrugged, watching the numbers go up in the elevator wall.
"You ever do anything that doesn't end up in a standoff, Chow?" Phil asked.
"I'm an international criminal. It always ends like this," Chow spoke casually. "I met my wife at one-a these things."
"Wait a second- you're married??" (Y/n) questioned, eyebrows crossed as she looked at Chow in surprise.
"Yeah. We married 15 years," Chow said, and (Y/n)'s eyes widened a little bit at how long he had been in a committed relationship. "What, Chow not good looking enough for woman?"
"No- just a shocker," (Y/n) shook her head, and looked back at Phil to mouth 'what the fuck', to which he gave a little smirk.
The doorbell rang, and Chow clapped his hands together and said, "Let's do this."
