"Hi nav" I mumbled on her shoulder closing my eyes

"Hi doll" she said and caressed my head

"Manik come sit" bhai said and the little asshole followed sitting beside me as I pull my feet in

"Nandini, when mom and dad passed away we had nothing remember absolutely nothing, manik gave me his house, the house we used to live in was manik's, he left India giving us the biggest blessing" he spoke and now I was shook becasue bhai said he found a house we could live in but he never mentioned how we got the house and I never asked

"What do you mean bhai" I asked and he sighed

"Nandu, you can hate him and not like him but he is the reason behind us actually having food on our table, he is the one who gave me cut in his company, he gave me a job, he gave me everything even this house you call yours is his well both of yours now but he bought this house for himself but circumstances caused him to be back and im so happy that he is back" he said and I was still hazy and confused about everything so I sat up

"Can you please talk in proper English im not getting your at all bhai" I said and navya held my hand

"Do you remember when cabir said he got a job" she asked me and I nodded

" Of course I do, he was on cloud 9" I smiled remembering the great day

"Well cabir dint get that job, manik has some issues so he had to leave India so he gave cabir his company naming it manbir textiles he named half of the company on cabir's name without even asking about any qualifications he has" she said

"Okay but that doesnt explain why he is living with me especially when he is rich" I asked

"Its his house and he just came back from the US so I offered him to stay with you, and this is like a payback even though I could never pay him back" he said and I get it but I just dont know what to do

"Bhai you dont understand, ahh fuck okay you know how I am after sahil and having him here I dont know if I can do this bhai I have had a habit of living alone" I tried explaining myself but im sure he isn't gonna understand

"Nandini its okay, umm ill move tom morning to my house" mr doucebag said

"You have your own house" I asked and he nodded looking down

"Then why are you here man, why are you tourturing me" I asked genuinely wanting to know and no I didnt mean it in a mean way.

"Just some issues" he confessed looking down at his hands

"Nandini please just give this a try, he isn't bad at all, he is so nice to you and yet you are horrible to him, the words you use aren't justified and just becasue of one asshole you are taking that out on an amazing human" he said

"I understand bhai but its hard for me to even think about it" I was guilty and I knew it but ahh I dont know what to say to him

"Im sorry doucebag" I said and he chuckled making me angry

" Whattt ek toh mai sorry bol rahi hu auf upar sai tum has rahai ho, bhai his is why I dont apologie" I said looking at bhai acusing him but he just laughed

"He chuckled because you called him a doucebag" he said

"Well he is one" I said getting up from the couch

"Cabir, navya thank you and you too nandini thanks for letting me stay here I would rather stay on the streets than go back home" he said and I felt sad for him

"You owe me big time cow boy" I said with a smile heading into my room and I dont know why I was smiling or why I didnt force him out of here but all I know for now is maybe he isn't that bad

Manik's pov

Did she just call me cow boy fuckk my heart did a fucking summersault. Jeez man she is one hell of a woman

"Dude she is warming up to you" cabir said smiling and I couldn't help but smile

"She is" I whispered to myself and navya jumped on me hugging me

"Manik it'll be okay, you never have to go back to that house ever again" she said and I closed my eyes remembering shit from my childhood but her voice pulled me out of those thoughts

"Stop sulking like fucking babies" nandini said coming towards us and fell on the couch beside me in her cute little pjs. I moved a little not wanting to make her uncomfortable but she just frowned at me

"Stop frowning at me I get scared" I whispered and cabir laughed at it

"I know right she looks like an umm" before he could finish his sentence I did

"Like an angry bird" I said and earned a slap on my arm from navya

"Stop saying shit about my best friend" she said and nandini smirked getting support of her best friend

We just sat watching tv when cabir's phone rang, he walked to my room on the phone.

A few minutes later he came out and stood infeont of me

"Guys navya and I are leaving, I had this meeting and the clients cant make it here so im gonna go and im taking her with me" he said and nandini frowned

"Bhai mai phi chalenge ghumnai" she said with such a baby voice that I couldn't help but smile

"We are going on a vacation doll" he said and she pouted. damn I really wanted to kiss that pout shit manik dont think about it

"How long are you guys away for" I asked and he took as second

"Maybe a couple days" he said and I could tell how upset nandini was but I wish I could do anything to help.

"Ill miss you navu" she said clinging to navya and then cabir

"We will miss you too doll, eat well and be safe oh and dont trouble my best friend too much" cabir said standing at the door smiling hugging nandini

"I will try not to as long as he doesnt mess with me" she warned shooting me a look making me smile

"Be safe guys and travel safe" I said hugging them.
