The next few days went like that only, waking up in manik's arms, sleeping in his arms, eating together, going to office together. I was with him every second and I loved every bit of it. We still hadn't kissed but came to close to it when he pulled back even though I really wanted it.
It was now the day before the ball well the night before the ball and manik was no where to be seen.
"Bhai manik kaha hai" I asked cabir but he just shrugged his shoulder, "I dont know doll, haven't seen him since this morning" bhai said sitting on the couch while navya and I were trying to pick accessories to match her dress.
"Nandini you love him right" navy asked and I nodded, "I do, navya do you his its early" I asked being confused not in the love I have for him but in the time frame
"Its been 2 weeks, I think that's more than enough time" she said, "should I tell him first" "umm duhhh tunai waise bhi kab traditions follow kiye hai" "fuck no" I screamed and we both had a good laugh about it
"I am so happy for you nandu, he is very lucky to have you", "I think I'm more lucky, navu he doesn't get gussa at me when he should, I walked into his cabin in the middle of a meeting and he was worried not angry", "he is very patient with you I have seen it" she chirped and gosh I love this but I miss my idiot, I haven't seen him all day, he wasnt in bed with me when I woke up, no texts no calls, wasn't in the office
"Navu manik kaha hai" I asked, "meko kaise pata hoga" she said and I knew bhai knew something
"Don't lie to me I know bhai ko pata hai, he wasn't beside me when I woke up, bhaiiii tell me where he is na" I said as we walked to the couch where bhai was.
"Mujhai sach mai ni pata, mai kal mila tha jab tum dono ghar aye, you should know he lives with you" "bhai when I woke up he wasn't beside me aur subha lai koi message aur call ni Aya" I said looking at my phone once again but still no updates
"Maybe he is on a date or something with his girlfriend" bhai teased, "sure ya but bata kai toh jata" I said and I know he is just teasing so I was playing along, "he will be back probably some meeting or something" bhai said
"Cabin dhawan you are lying and I know that. I havent seen him since 10 last night and its currently 8 so will you call your best friend and tell him to stop annoying the fucking shit out of me and come home pleaseee" I said the please sarcastically, dude I miss him
"Nanidni can you shut up for another few seriously" he said irritated, "bhaiii I miss him, meko wait ni karna" I said and my eyes started watering fuckk I can't be weak, I felt bhai's arm caress my back.
"Lai merrai phone sai kar lai phone Utha lena" he said and I wiped my eyes and called him using Bhai's phone and the asshole picked it up on the first ring
"Tu pagal hai kya ussai pata chal jayega maine bola tha call mat kario pagaj insaan" he said and hearing his voice my heart skipped a beat, it had been almost 24 hours since I heard his voice.
"You fucking asshole, i have been trying to call you for so long" I said and I could feel tears, "shh dont cry ill be there in 5 minutes just 5 more minutes baby" he said and I shoved the phone to bhai
Manik's Pov
I woke up this morning and before nandini woke up I headed out to grab my supplies that I needed for tonight, nandini called me so many times and messaged me but I really cant pick it up or she'll blackmail me to tell her where I am and all of that.
I told cabir and navya to distract her until I come back home and not call me after they get home, it was 8 when cabir Called me
"Tu pagal hai kya ussai pata chal jayega maine bola tha call mat kario pagaj insaan" I screamed, "You fucking asshole, i have been trying to call you for so long" she yelled back and I could tell she was crying so I told her ill be there in 5 minutes.
"Cabir I will fucking murder you if she cries, ill be there in 5 just get her to stop crying" I screamed on the phone and heard him laughing at me so I cut the call and ran to the apartment.
I opened the door and nandini looked at me for a second then ran to me jumping in my arms as I caught her
"I fucking hate you asshole, subha sai tum mera dimag kharab kar rahai ho subha sai. I will kick you in the balls and chop your dick and ill feed them to street cats you doucebag". She yelled in my neck but her grip tightened when I tried pulling away.
"Dick jokes are still off limit baby girl" I teased and she smacked my arm pulling away
"Lo byi romance shuru toh hum nikaltai hai" cabir said and smacked my shoulder while navya hugged nandini and I leaving.
I looked at nadnini who stood with her hands on her hips "im sorry darling, just bare with me I have a surprise for you please" I said and her eyes twinkled "surprise" she said and I nodded
"Come on lets go but I need you to promise you'll keep your eyes closed until I ask you to understood" I said and she bobbed her head like a baby "words nandini" , "yes I understand lets go" she said and put on her little slippers.
I locked the appartment and picked her up, "hey im not a child, ill walk" , "umm no maam shh and just close your eyes" I carried her up to the terrace and smiled seeing the set up.
"Open your eyes baby" I said placing her on the feet and stood behind her.
