We got to the mall and I am super happy, I haven't been this happy in forever, he really does make me happy. The fact that he sees a future with me and would actually see himself getting married to me is so cute like he didnt even hesitate
"Nandini where are you lost" he said bringing me back to earth from manik's world
"Nothing, umm why are we even shopping" I asked and he frowned "the ball is in 5 days and you need to get things to wear, I took care of the dress, get the accessories and stuff" he said and wait is he actually serious about the ball
"Manik, Im not actually going to the ball, its boring as shit" I said and he shook his head "nandini you are coming with me as my date so now be a cutie and pick out your shoes, forget about the accessories, then help me shop okay" he said and I nodded
We wandered around for hours and I managed to finally get a pair of stilettos, manik said he liked them so I bought them, then we got a bunch of things for manik and as promised he got me some ice cream and we also ate dinner at the mall. We got back home and I got changed and walked to manik's room cause my room was a mess. I walk in to see manik sitting on his bed but he seemed disturbed by something.
"Manik, whats wrong" I asked walking in his room, he looked up and I could see his eyes being watery, "nothing" came his reply and I could tell he needs time so the only thing I could do is try comforting him.
I sat on his bed and opened the blanket getting inside and I patted the side asking him to come, he slowly slid in the blankets. I opened my arms and he took a while before putting his head on my shoulder as I wrapped my arms around him.
"Take your time, how about I tell you something about me well its super embarrassing but ill tell you" I said and he just slowly nodded
"I was in grade 12 when I was walking home talking to myself, well I had no friends and I love talking to myself. So I was talking to myself and this boy was waking in the opposite direction and all of a sudden a car almost hit me cause I wasn't paying attention and the road is usually not busy so ya. The first thing I said was not today satan and I yelled it. That boy couldn't stop laughing and I felt so embarrassed like it was the worst thing ever I couldn't even look at him. The worst part was he lived next to us" I laughed at myself and heard the lightest snores in my shoulder
I looked down and saw Manik a sleep making me smile. I caressed his chin and jaw feeling his stubbles, he hasn't shaved its prickly but his stubbles make him look sexy. I couldn't help but think what was going on in his mind, I grabbed his phone moving a little making him make a noise and frown in his sleep, I caress his cheek as his frown disappeared. I opened his phone and saw a picture of us as his wallpaper making me smile
I don't wanna check his phone but I wanna know what is bothering him ahh its fine if he yells in the morning. I open his phone calls but there was nothing except a contact who he called a day or two ago which was named "baby girl", I open it and recognized the number, its mine. He named me baby girl, aww thats adorable. I opened his messages and the last message was from "nyonika", that name rings a bell.
Oh fuckk its his mom, I opened the message and saw the message, it said "meet me tom or ill come to the company" now that sounds interesting cause why is he so disturbed at that. Its his mom okay umm I guess we will just have to see hopefully he doesn't get mad at me.
I put his phone on my side, well I guess his bed has a side for me now, I caressed his arm as he flipped on his stomach with his face in my shoulder.
"I know you are a sleep so you can't hear me which is why im saying this now, Manik malhotra I genuinely think you are the one for me, bhai was right. We will see what the future holds for us but for now sleep well and sweet dreams doucebag" I whispered and as if understanding what I'm saying he moved closer.
I closed my eyes with him next to me and fall into a deep slumber.
I wake up hearing the phone ring, I moved my hand and picked it up without even opening my eyes and felt something heavy on my arm.
"Hello" "nandini wake up Manik now and office in 40 minutes" bhai said and cut the call without even saying anything. I open my eyes and see manik's mouth slightly open, he looked so cute.
"Manik wake up" he hmmed, "Manik, wakey wakey eggs and bakey" I whispered in his ear and he moved slightly, ahh fuck I dont wanna tell him about Bhai's call but he is so sleepy. Deciding that I should just tell him I kiss his forehead and moved slightly.
"Manik, bhai called and said he needs you in the office in 40 minutes and cut the call please wkae up" I said and as soon as he heard that he jumped up grabbing his phone from my hand. "Fuckkk" he mumbled and was about to run the bathroom but I grabbed his arm getting up
"Nandini I have to get ready" he said and his eyes changed colours which was the first time I noticed that. I stood infront of him
"Good morning cowboy" I said going on my tippy toes kissing his cheek as he closed his eyes, his hands tightened around my waist as he pulled me in for a hug.
"Morning love' he whispered in my ear, "dont get stressed, im coming with you and we can fight a bitch if you need, ill wear my pointy heals" I said and he chuckled a little pulling back kissing my head.
"Go shower handsome, ill go shower too" I said and ran to my room to get ready. I wore a black jumpsuit and some wedges cause they re better for hitting bitches. I come out wth my phone and found Manik putting on his shoes. We headed out without breakfast because we didnt have time.

The whole ride Manik was silent, no smile, no words nothing, he didnt even smile at me. We finally reached manbir textiles and I followed Manik to his cabin.
