Chapter 3

Now I was leaning on her bedroom door while cabir walked inside.

She was sleeping in navya's lap but dried tears were clearly visible on her cheeks

"What happened, why was she crying" I asked not being able to control myself

"Sahil" she said and cabir's whole body froze for a second before he sat beside navya caressing Nandini's hair, yes that's her name ahh its so pretty like her focus manik focus

"Who is sahil" I asked and cabir sighed

"How did you know she was crying" he asked suspiciously and I didnt know what to say but if I lie he will catch me ah whatever ill just tell him the truth

"Umm her face has dried tear marks" I said looking down and he nodded

"Sahil was her ex, he only ex" he said with anger in his voice and I knew there was more to it then that

" And whats the rest of the story" I asked

"He was an asshole, she lived with him for a couple days but they were the worst days of her life which is why she was pissed off with you living here" he explained and I knew there was even more to the story but I didnt wanna ask maybe one day she could tell me

"Manik, its important to tell you why I actually forced you to stay here instead of my house" cabir said and I was confused becasue I thought it was because they only have one room and becasue they want their privacy

"What are you talking about" I asked being confused

"Nandini needs someone in her life just as much as you need someone, both of you have had a hard life so I thought you two being together could maybe be umm" he was exiling and I understood where he was going with it so I interultped him

"Fuck no cabir, its not gonna happen" I said and navya spoke before cabir could

"Manik we arent saying that you guys are gonna get married or whatever but maybe you guys could be friends, she isn't as bad as you think" she said and I went to sit down beside navya

"I am not saying she is bad, she is great ya she has some language problems I mean she swears way too much but I can deal with that. Thats not it, I just dont wanna push it with her" I said and before I could realize what I said cabir smirked I could feel a stupid reply coming

"You dont wanna push it ohhh matlab" he was about to continue but I spoke

" Stop thats not what I meant cabir, I think I can become friends with her but do no expect any of the bullshit you guys are trying to get at cause its not right and my intentions arent that which you already know" I justified and he smiled

" i know manik, thank you for being here I really needed you here" he said and I just smiled in response but I froze for a second when nandini's hand held my fingers in her sleep

"Fuck I cant believe this, she is holding your hand oh my gosh this is so cute" cabir stated and quickly took a picture of our hands.

"She is sleeping how would she know whose hand she is holding" I said hoping I dont hear any reply but how can that happen

"She doesn't hold anyone's hand other than navya, mine and I guess yours now" he said and it put me to my thoughts when I felt her hand gripping my hands tighter

"Cabir she is clutching my hand, is she okay" I asked being worried and navya caressed her hair

"Probably a nightmare" he said like its a normal thing but it scared me for some reason and I dont know why. I sat there with her hand in mine, subconcoiusly I was caressing her hand while talking to cabir about random things. I felt her hand tighten around my hand again and she moved a little, knowing she will probably wake up I slid my hand out of her grip. I was right within minutes she woke up and pouted seeing cabir
