"YOUR HIGHNESS, I'M SORRY"

Chapter 10

Li Yijun started to pull the string of the bow testing it and smile when she find that it's light and easy to pull.

They have asked the servants to prepare a bow and arrows and target boards earlier. Li Yijun have also went to put ointment on the wound in her palm.

Jiang Yanyue was somewhat worried when she remembered that Li Yijun have wounded his hand yet she forgot and asked him to show his archery skills.

Li Yijun tried to reassure that it's not that deep and said that it's fine.

"Your Highness, what mark do you want this one to aim?"

"The center one" she challenge

Li Yijun just show a relax smile and went to position herself 50 meters away from the target.

Li Yijun made a proper stance and draw the bow.  Swish of arrows can be heard repeatedly and Jiang Yanyue was surprised seeing the arrows consecutively went to the center.

Li Yijun draw her fifteenth arrow and once again went to the center target.

She looked towards Jiang Yanyue, she then draw three arrows all at once and those three arrows went straight to different target board  all went to the center target.

Li Yijun stop and looked at Jiang Yanyue again seeing her amaze look. Jiang Yanyue went to her excitedly as she said: "That's really amazing!"

Li Yijun smiled, for her that is just a basic skill she learned when she's five years old.

Jiang Yanyue looked at her with respect and admiration.

"You're really deserving of the title General" she continued to praise making Li Yijun laugh.

"Your Highness gave praise more than deserve" there are more and better skills of archery she know that is more deserving of her position.

Li Yijun suddenly thought of an idea as she held out the bow "Does Your Highness wanted to learn archery?"

Jiang Yanyue's eyes widen and quickly shake her head "No..  no archery is only for men"

But Li Yijun still insisted "Your Highness,  it doesn't matter if it's for men or women.  What matters is the will to learn"

Jiang Yanyue was also curious and wanted to try and so she smile as she held the bow from Li Yijun.

Li Yijun step back "Your Highness try to follow my posture earlier and then draw the bow as far as you can"

Jiang Yanyue did what she have said and have a hard time drawing the bow with an arrow. As she cannot hold it anymore she released it and her face reddened seeing where that arrow went. It fell just three meters away from her.

She quickly put down the bow "This, this thing is not for me" she said her face and ears are still tinted with redness.

"Your Highness did great" Li Yijun commented adding the embarrassment she felt.

What's great about it!?

"Are you mocking me?!"

"Your Highness please don't misunderstand, You did better than this one when I also first draw a bow" Li Yijun said but of course it was a lie.

Jiang Yanyue was slightly comforted as she turned away about to leave when she felt a hand gently holding hers.

"Your Highness shouldn't easily give up on things. Let this subject properly teach Your Highness"
