Days passed and the Imperial banquet for the New Year came.

Li Yijun and Jiang Yanyue have also not talked about the Northern border again.

But after that day their seems to be a sudden  distance between them. The two would eat together and have small talk but that's all. Jiang Yanyue would always leave and go to her sister Jiang Liwei and would visit the Crown Prince time to time.

Li Yijun also did not do anything to fix this invisible gap and would just stay on the study for the whole day. Li Bocheng would come and visit to inform her of their progress and would eventually accompany her seeing her depressed estate.

He doesn't know if it's because of the news about her sister or if it's because of Jiang Yanyue ignoring her. Li Yijun have already told him what happened and cannot help but sigh, this two seems to be having a lover's quarrel.

If Li Bocheng doesn't know Li Yijun's plans in the first place he would really think that it's really a lover's quarrel.

The palace maids and servants have also noticed something odd feeling that the Zhenxi Princess and her husband seems to be having a disagreement especially when they see how Her Highness would feel dejected and disheartened for the past days. The Princess's husband would not even visit unless the  Zhenxi Princess would summon him.

Their suspicions was even more confirmed when the Zhenxi Princess went to the New Year Banquet alone without waiting for Li Yijun.

The New Year Banquet was simple as they are only few that is inside the Banquet hall and it also quickly ended after Jiang Renshu have given his gifts to his daughters.

The Crown Prince eventually didn't come when the Imperial doctors advices him that the cold wind of winter might only worsen his condition.

Jiang Yanyue was currently inside her bedchamber, only wearing her inner clothing and her hair is already spread in her back. She looked at the fiery light that the red lantern produced.

She would also look at the door time to time seemingly waiting for someone.

She then heard Wenbian's voice asking permission to enter.

"You may come in"

Wenbian came in with a bowl of soup in her hands as she muttered "Your Highness, the Princess's husband have told this one that you have drink quite a lot of wine in the banquet. He instructed me to simmer a sobering soup. May Your Highness drink this sobering soup for you not to have a headache in the morning"

Jiang Yanyue actually went to drink wine in the banquet and finished up the vessel that was given to her. She really felt depressed on how Li Yijun treated her and does not even do something to make peace with her.

That "man" didn't even stop her on drinking!

Just thinking of it makes her even more upset.

But once she heard "Princess's husband" , longingness came rushing through her emotions and her head instantly looked up ignoring the soup "Where is he?" She quickly asked

Wenbian looked at Jiang Yanyue with complicated expression "The Princess's husband have told this maid that he would sleep on the side chamber"

Jiang Yanyue once again became more upset "Did he not see the red lantern hanged outside? In imperial family there's a tradition that a husband and wife should be together in the New Year for a long and harmonious marriage, why did he not come?"
