It's Just For Decoration

"Thank you so much" I say to the man whose name I learned to be Jo
"Your very welcome. It's not everyday you get to met a Queen of Egypt" I chuckle "I'm deeply sorry for what happened to you in the past, but I'm glad we have been able to reunite you with your husband once again"
"It's a shame none of us will see you again. Maybe one day we can convince Larry to ask you guys to visit"
"I'd like that"
"Amunet!" I hear a familiar voice yell making me smile
"Go to him. Hopefully we will see each other again"
"Thank you" I turn and run to Ahk whose holding his arms out wide. I hug him as tightly as I could
"I missed you so much my love"
"I've missed you more"
"Are you ok?"
"Oh Ahk it was awful" we turn to walk into the museum, but Ahk turns around to Jo
"Thank you for bringing my wife home safely"
"My pleasure. Now I best be off before sunrise. Goodbye you Majesties" Jo bows then gets into his plane and sores into the sky
"Kahmunrah was there and he held me hostage...." I tell Ahk what happened as we make our way the Egyptian exhibit. I then realise my sarcophagus isn't here any more
"Share with me for now. It will be a little cramped, but there's room" I smile at my husband
"I love you Ahkmenrah"
"And I you Amunet" we share a kiss before getting into the sarcophagus and falling asleep.

A few months later

We have all been working hard as the museum has been renovated. Larry had the idea that we would be 'paid actors' at night time so that we can still be here in the morning as wax or in my case a dead artefact
"My name is Ahmunrah, fourth king of the fourth king and this is my wife Amunet daughter of the moon god. My parents gave me this tablet some 3,000 years ago, entrusting me with one of my people's most prized possessions"
"Does it do anything?" a young girl asks us
"Do anything?" I repeat
"Yeah. What's the point if it doesn't do anything?" another little girl asks
"Tell them my love" I smirk
"Actually, it has a magical power that brings all the exhibits to life"
"No, really, what's it do?" Ahk looks at me and I smile at him shaking my head
"Nothing dear. It's just for decoration"
"I knew it" the younger girl whispers. They move on and this time a little boy and his family come over to us
"Good evening" I smile at the family. The little boy looks at us in awe. Ahk begins telling our story to the parents
"You're very pretty" the little boy says still amazed
"Thank you" the little boy hugs me
"You toddler stop hugging the displays" Dr McPhee walks over to us
"No its ok sir. Ahkmenrah and I always longed for a child of our own. Unfortunately seeing children running around here learning will be as close as we will ever be"
"Well, just don't get the costume dirty" I roll my eyes as he walks off
"Ignore him"
"Are you the real king and queen?" the little boy laughs
"We are"
"Come on now let's see who else is around. Thank you for speaking to us" the mother smiles at us.

Once everyone has gone home Ahk and I go our exhibit
"I wonder where our baby is" I frown taking of my wig and letting my natural hair flow
"We could ask Larry to find out"
"How would the tablet affect her. She died in my womb, so her growth would be stunted right?"
"I don't know my love, but the tablet does things no one ever thought was possible"
"So your saying if we found her she may be able to grow?" I frown at my husband
"I don't know. Only my father knew the real secrets of the tablet" I sigh feeling defeated "I'm sorry my love. I know you wanted a baby and still fo . So do I, but you could count looking after Jed and Octavius as having children. They're always getting into trouble. Or dexter. I know his a monkey but still"
"It's ok Ahk, thank you for trying to cheer me up, but I'm ok. As long as I have you I don't need anything else. I love you"
"I love you" we kiss each other before getting into our sarcophagus for morning.
