Chapter 9: More than just evil

Chris's POV

I'm going to make this boy pay, he'll regret ever making my son go through. Tyler had a bright future ahead of him. He was going to take over my businesses when I retire. I had everything planned out but that brat Luke just kept getting in the way. Everyone kept adoring him and pampering him even when it was unnecessary. .

I tried to get rid of him when I asked Carlos to deal with him the day he stormed out but instead Tyler interfered and he's the one that got shot instead. I tried again by sending that bus at his school to run him over but all that stupid driver did was bump him. I don't know what's keeping this boy from dying, I hate him with everything I have, why'd he even have to be born? Not even the car accident could kill him. I can't let this boy sabotage everything I've worked so hard to achieve,

" Don't worry Tyler, I'll do everything in my power to bring you back to life, back to me and we'll build the empire I've always  dreamed we'd run, father and son." My eyes were starting to water as I looked inside the capsule where Tyler's body was being kept for treatment, even my wife doesn't know he is still alive, I'm doing this for us so we could be a happy family again.

Just then doctor Johnson comes in. I quickly wipe away my tears that were threatening to fall and clear my throat.

" Sorry to disturb you Mr Ross but I've done what you have asked for. Doctor Hall just left and she already did her rounds on Luke so there's no other doctor that'll go there to check on him. I replaced his antibiotics drip with a drip containing water and replaced his oxygen with anesthesia gas. He won't remember what happened today ".

I looked at him with a wide grin on my face. " Good ,make sure you do this every single day, I don't care how much it'll cost. I want this boy dead but in an unsuspecting manner, and when he does draft a fake postmortem about the cause of his death which will not pin everything back to you because when it does I'm not going to help you out. And by the way , DON'T GET CAUGHT!" , I say and storm out of the room and head back to the reception. I ask Bridget and Rebecca to go home with me and we leave.

Things between Luke and his father were not always like this. They were connected to the hip once upon a time but it all changed when Luke discovered how manipulative and evil his father was. At the time his dad was a drug Lord and was the biggest supplier of cocaine, crystal meth and any other illegal drug you could think of ,and I'm not talking about your regular alcohol and cigarettes. Nobody could touch the man because he was guarded by the most intimidating gang, the Sharks. They were similar to the Mafia but we'll ain't nobody better than them.

Luke was hanging out with his best friend Sydney at a highway smoking weed when they saw his dad's car heading towards a route they never took before . They trailed him but at a safe distance, and luckily for them they were taking Sydney's car otherwise Chris would've spotted them easily. They were following him because they thought he had an affair as he never mentioned anything about having a meeting or going on a business trip in that location.

They continued following him until the car stopped at some open field but what they saw immediately made their jaws drop. The ground started shaking and splitting into two, opening a passageway which allowed the car Chris was in to get in then it sealed again. If it weren't for the fact that the boys were scared thinking they were about to die they would've thought this was the coolest thing they'd ever seen.

After calming down they get out of the car and started looking for the entrance, where a man sized one was located between two trees that a man in a navy blue overall pushing some gas tanks on a trolley came out of. The boys went in as quickly as they could before the door shuts and locks itself. How they were to get out was going to be a problem for later. Once they got inside a flight of stairs leading down to darkness was revealed. Driven by a mix of comprehension and determination,they descended, their hearts pounding in their chests. What they discovered at the bottom was a world far removed from the mundane ....an underground lab bustling with activity.
