ALEXANDER

HIS POV

We smile at each other when the question was asked. We already chose what would be the baby's name if it is a boy. I laugh a little because my darling here wants an Italian name like Papa and mine. But I was also touched by that.

"His name is-" Before I could even say my son's name Marcos cut me off and took out his cell phone.

"Go on, I'll just take a video. I can't miss this moment." He excitedly gets a video of us that cause my frown to deepen.

"What the fu-" and again before I can finish my darling pinched my hips to stop me. Then she points to our son.

"Huwag na 'wag mong tatapusin yan, my love. I don't want my baby to hear that." She gives me her signature scary smile.

"A-ahem. Sorry about that." I clear my throat because I might lose my Dominic Junior if I say something like that again.

"But as I was saying before I was rudely interrupted by you Marcos." He avoided my sharp stare and then smile innocently.

"His name is Alexander Luciano." I hear awes and coos in the room that cause for my baby to stir in his sleep.

I rock him a little to settle him down. But I don't think sleeping is what he needs right now because his tongue is getting a little wiggly.

"I-i think he's hungry, my darling." I gently transfer him to his mother and then sit beside my mate.

She started to loosen the straps of her dress, but I stop her and then look to our visitor who is curious about what was about to happen except for my Mama and Papa who had a knowing smile.

" Get out."

I think Leo gets it but of course, my beta needs a little smack in the head before he realizes what is about to happen.

"Let's go out, idiot. We are not needed here." Leo said then proceed to pull him outside.

"Huh? Teka. Gusto ko pang makita ang pamangkin ko! Kailangan niya ako!"

He is starting to get dramatic again. I just shook my head at him.

"Bakit? Kaya mo bang magbreast feed? Ikaw nanay?" Leo being Leo, he continues to pull Marcus outside.

"Hahahaha, Marcus never changes. He is still funny." My father laughs while watching the scene unfold in front of us. Leo now is dragging him outside which he was successful then closes the door.

My father proudly looks at me and then patted my shoulder.

"You're a father now, son." I nodded at him and then look at my darling who was getting help from my mother.

"Yeah. Ho-ho paura di deluderlo papà. E se ho fatto qualcosa di sbagliato?" My father ruffles my hair and then pulls me into a hug. (I'm-I'm afraid I'll let him down, Dad. What if I did something wrong?)

"Essere un genitore è difficile ma figlio, non sei solo in questo. Hai una moglie e noi ti supportiamo." (Being a parent is difficult but child, you are not alone in this. You have a wife, and we support you.)

"Thank you, Papa."

HER POV

Kasalukuyan kaming nakahiga magkaharap sa isa't isa.  Staring at each other like no one can break us apart.

"How do I get lucky to have you, darling?" He asks me this so, so many times Pero Yun din a ng tanong ko sa sarili ko.

Simula pagkabata nakatatak na sa isipan ko na magiging mag-isa na lang ako, na wala akong makakasama sa pagtanda dahil nga walang kanyang tumanggap sakin. Minsan naiisip ko na baka nga nakatandahana akong maging mag-isa. But then dumating sa buhay ko si Dominic. He gives me a family. Parents who love me and take cares of me. And now, a son.

I have a family now. My own small family.

"We are both lucky to find each other. I love you, Dominic." Tumitig ako dito ng may buong pagmamahal at yun din naman ang sinukli niya saakin.

"Yes. We are both lucky. I love you so much, my love. Me and Storm love you and our baby Alexander with all our heart and soul."

We share a passionate kiss in a hospital room where our little family journey will start. With him and my little Alexander, I can't ask for anything else in my life. They're all I need.

"Good night, my heart." Muli itong humalik sakin at tumayo. Binuhat nito si baby Alexander at binigyan ng mabining halik sa noo.

Naglakad naman ito patungo sakin upang mahalikan ko rin ang anak ko.

"Good night anak. Mahal na Mahal Ka namin ng Daddy mo."

"I love you, son. Both of you." Muli niya kaming binigyan ng halik sa noo at ibinalik niya na si baby Alexander sa bassinet niya

That night we sleep with one thought.  A new journey will start. 

A journey of parenthood.
