I know, I know you must be giving up on me but I promise to fix myself and steady my update schedule.

"What happened to mother? Why did she— how did she die?" he cleared his voice, staring back at the King's cold iris'.

Ohm's father was extremely dismissive of the idea to talk about this with him and he could understand by the way the King had shook his head, "Ohm, for the sake of Orindoth, you must stop chasing the lies, "We are trying to find a solution and while we do that, you, must stay away from Nanon"

Ohm had voluntarily scoffed, "Is that why we went to Exalos? Is this what you had to discuss with the King of Exalos?"

"I told you we are trying to solve—"

"Father" Ohm growled, "Trying? Trying. You cannot try, when there is someone, might I even add with conviction, is saying me and him—"

"Ohm!" the king shrieked, rising up from his position, "Don't even dare to shelter the prospect of you two being together. I am not having this conversation with you any longer. I will fix whatever the stakes and you will be fine" he held Ohm inside his arms, "You are my son and you will be the King of Orindoth" he shook him toughly, "We have only one Kingdom and that is Orindoth. Orindoth is our home my son and you must take care of it" he embraced Ohm, "Forget whatever you were told by that wretched woman"

Ohm didn't have the strength or the willpower to extend that conversation with his father any longer. He knew he would only receive coldness in return if he wanted to learn anything else so he decided to walk the rest of the path on his own. But more importantly and firstly, Ohm had to clear his mind by resorting to his chamber and having a decent sleep.

In retrospect of what he was intending to do, sleep is wreckless when someone wants it the most or even when one has a train of thought wreaking havoc in their heads every two seconds. Ohm couldn't sleep because every time he yawned, Nanon, being called by him the first time he ever learned to speak was building a churning sensation in the pit of his stomach making him want to throw up. Every time he flipped to another side, Zivia being united by the two of them played in his head like a broken record— the buzz adamant in not leaving him alone for a second. The thought of the reason behind his mother's death hammered his head and the ringing sensation wouldn't leave until he would turn to the other side and another painful string of thought would bother him next.

Ohm had slept for a decent 2 hours and when he woke up he was fatigued with dark bags under his eyes and a dream he didn't know how to get over. It was clearly a portrayal of when they were five years old and fighting recklessly in Nanon's mother's garden with the exception that no one was showering bizarre flower petals at them back in the day. More than anything else, with an empty stomach and extremely sleep-deprived soul, he didn't know how he would get over the dream which left him even more exhausted.

In the next few days, Ohm tried everything and nothing to get over the train of unstoppable thoughts which regardless of whatever he did, came rushing back like a waterfall. Although he hated Nanon to his guts, that is the only thing he ever felt for the boy, yet his heart and mind wouldn't stop playing and replaying the soulmate like an endless echo in some distant cold woods. The persistent thought of Nanon's giddy dimples made him sweat and jerk out of sleep time and time again every few nights. On the other hand, the thought of retrieving Zivia strongly built its roots inside his lungs without him even being aware.

Soon, Ohm was slipping out of his own grasp. Desperate to learn more about the time of his birth only to finally come to the agonizing truth of losing their mothers in the battle of separating the two of them. As the midwife mentioned, both of them had failed and in return had to sacrifice themselves. Just to erase the soulmate from the books of history, Queen of Orindoth couldn't even finally look at her son as he grew up to become such a brave, kind and handsome young man. Just to hide the disgrace of giving birth to a son who was fatefully tied to another boy, she had drunk the poison, and Ohm wonders, how things could've been different if were a princess instead. He can't help but think only if he were a princess, his mother might have been alive today since it is only typical for a princess to have a soulmate who is a prince. He did all these excavations only to reach this gruesome conclusion that in this world, Ohm and Nanon couldn't be together, even if it meant the two could bring Zivia together. Still, Zivia and its glory had found its safe haven somewhere in the pit of Ohm's stomach and there was no way he could deny it, finally.
