[15] Seperate ways

A few months have passed since the arrest of Scaramouche and his gang. It was also, a very long, and tiring few months since after being taken in for the investigation of what exactly happened and what were yours, and the others in your group relationship were with the Fatui.

When the news came on the moment you were in the living room with Itto and the others, it had said they found more bodies that connected to and with the Fatui gang.

It was stressful and it made your stomach churn after seeing the news. The Fatui gang was also involved with robberies and such.

But right now after those long months, you were finally able to breathe without being taken in to answer questions for the police. And the bullet wound you suffered that day at the event it healed up well.

"Y'know, I think we should leave Inazuma and go somewhere else after this whole mess. Like a long deserving vacation!" Itto exclaims at the dinner table while you and Thoma were cooking food, while the girls helped chop side ingredients.

"Yeah? And where would we even go?" Hu tao glances up where Itto and Xiao were playing a round of mancala.

Itto hums and thinks for a moment before making a move with the marbles he had in his hand. "I don't know, maybe Sumeru? It'd be nice just relax without having to look over your shoulder every second we're out." He shrugs and waits for Xiao to make his move.

You almost forgot about that. Even if everything was done with the questioning and telling the police what went down with the few months you spent spying on the Fatui, you all knew they still had their eyes on you.

Of course because half of you were ex gang members and the other half still have a history of crimes behind them, even if it was cleared when Ayato picked you guys out to investigate the Fatui.

"I agree with Itto it would be nice to leave for a while," you say as you stir the ramen in the pot.

"Would Beidou and Ayato let us though?" Yoimiya raises a brow and turns to you then Thoma and Itto. The blonde shrugs and leans against the kitchen countertop.

"I can speak to them about it, if you guys like? But if it gets approved, let me come with you! It would be amazing to taste cuisines from Sumeru." Thoma grins and helps the girls place the side dishes in separate plates, while you start putting the ramen and little ingredients on the ramen.

The table is set after Itto and Xiao put away the game and sets up the table. Xiao brings over the cups of tea that was prepared by Hu tao and Itto helps bring in the ramen.

You and the girls sit on one side and the guys on the opposite side across from you guys. Everyone's eating and chatting about games and the future plans for the group, when the front door opens.

In comes Ayato and Beidou from work and they greet everyone in the room. They helped themselves with food and sit at the kitchen island—joining in on whichever conversation interested them. Itto glanced at Ayato then back down at his food, then at you for a few moments.

Hu tao and Yoimiya noticed and they sent him knowing looks, which he half smiles at them and shakes his head. Even Thoma, who he even told him to say something before he loses his chance, elbows his side and gives a quick look towards you.

Itto shrugs and continues eating, looking down at his phone for times to catch a plane ride to Sumeru.

While he was scrolling he ends up sighing deeply and then going to messages—tapping on your name and sending you a text. When you answer the both of you looked up at each other.
