Age: 5
"Mom," The young girl had tears slipping to her cheek, as she tightened her grip on the blanket.
It was nighttime already, the stars were up in the sky while the wind blew letting out a roaring sound, lightning struck that night making her hold onto her blanket tightly while hovering it over her whole figure still lying in bed. The blue light scared her making tears slip down her face, strands of hair stuck to her soft face from the wet drops gliding, her heart rate increased rapidly as she let out muffled cries.
She hated loud noises, her mom would always throw stuff around when she was drunk making her too scared to hear the booming outside, her body shivered from the sound as it lit up the night. A creaking noise was directed outside her door making y/n halt her crying and widen her eyes, mom? She questioned herself still feeling a shiver run down her spine.
She moved her hand over her mouth trying to lessen her cry, she knew that if her mom caught her like this she would get yelled at or worse. Not wanting to risk it she tried to control her breathing which she sadly couldn't, the door went wide open.
Her breathing became shaky and shivered feeling her mom's eyes on the young girl's figure, she stiffened once she figured out her mom was drunk once again leaving her to hope for the best. Her eyes directed to a window reflecting the back of her figure, her mom was getting closer by the second holding on to a certain object on her back.
She silently cried still watching her mom come closer to her, her steps caused a quiet creak making the girl close her eyes. Opening them once again a blue light sparked through the window showing her mom's figure, on her hand was a pointy object she was directed to her daughter.
BOOM! The blue-ray scared her, and so did her mom. The object was nothing more than a knife, she gripped tightly at the knife pointing it at the girl on the bed. She managed to stop herself from slashing and killing the girl below her, although those scenes would stay on her mind forever- she didn't know that she was wide awake. Heading out of her room she slammed the door closed leaving the girl to shiver from the fear that overwhelmed her, I'm so scared- she whined making tears slip out of her eyes.
Lightening was no longer her biggest fear, it was her mother...but that didn't stop her from loving the woman who gave birth to her. She thought that maybe she was the problem, not her mom.
----------
Waking up she got up from bed and slowly walked to the front door not wanting to get screamed at, her footsteps were silent. Ever since the day she remembered she always tried to remain as silent as possible especially when she was home, the only reason she ever did it was so they never argued because she hated arguing.
