DAMN IT I'M GONNA BE LATE, The young girl had thought as she had begun searching for her clothes in a scurry manner, she took a brief look in the mirror and was shocked when her hair looked like a damn nest, LORD HELP ME PLEASE she had started panicking while she swiftly grabbing her hairbrush and untangling all the locks that hooked the strands of hair. A grumble escaped her stomach as she groaned while remembering the last time she hadn't consumed any food. Her whole stomach ached with a hint of tiny needles which were poking through her body. She had grasped onto her kunai's and inserted them in the pouch, while taking another look in the mirror she was finally ready. Should I eat something? Didn't the old man tell us not to eat anything, I might as well starve since I'm late already. I can't make a bad impression!
I had exited the Hyuga compound and was now rushing towards the location we had decided to meet, well that was until I hear a certain someone shout my name
"Y/N WAIT UP!"
I had then stopped in my tracks and turned to meet up with Kouki, I felt a beam of light rush through me as I noticed the bright smile placed on the child in front of me
"Kouki! What's wrong?" I had questioned while I was kneeling to give him a deepening hug, as he responded to me and mimicked my action, making sure he didn't damage the small box he had in his hand.
The 10-year-old then, held the box with both of his hands as he released the air he was holding in with a quite nervous face "well, I bought some Dangos and I wanted to you know, check up on you- so I thought why not get you some also!" He replies as a small smile covered his lips, my eyes have softened at the gesture. He is such a sweetheart, he deserves so much more if only he was able to move in with me instead of living in that filthy apartment by himself.
"You know Kouki, I appreciate this! Why don't we hang out later?" I had questioned as I gently grabbed the small beautifully wrapped up box and with my other free hand, I had caressed his hair, while he gave me a toothy grin.
"Sure, can you also help me practice? Oh- and make sure you eat them!" He said while helping me get up from my knees and looked up at me while I had fully stood up as his eyes began to shimmer.
"Of course, we'll practice together later now that I have time- but I gotta go now! Take care" I gave him a quick wave and began rushing, I had looked back to see him wave with his famous smile. I might as well eat a Dango, I gently opened the packaging while I was rushing towards my destination as I had jumped on top of the buildings before me, eating the dangos with a small smile.
