The day felt just like the others, it all seemed like a blur. Kinda like those nightmares that feel so realistic, the pain, the scenery, the feeling- although this one never came to an end. It kept on repeating with no way to escape.
It's funny really, all these things happened when y/n was finally improving. She was happy, her smile shined brighter than before- well...it used to, now it all seems as if all that died down. The hope, the happiness, finally being loved. She had all that, now she was left with nothing, and just like that her lifespan will end, today was the last day she will open her eyes.
And it just so happens that tomorrow will also be her birthday, how ironic. The exact day she was born will soon be the exact day she dies, but it's not like she cares...what's left for her anyways?
Chained up just like every other day, her eyes were dull. They have been holding so much sadness for too long that it erupted, it was noticeable she was suffering- many would say she erupted from the madness but it wasn't that it was from devastation. She felt devastated by the fact she wasn't worthy, she wasn't worthy enough to be saved, devastated by the fact she couldn't keep the promises she made. It all got to her, she was a fool.
Why can't I live a normal life? Live with no pain, no regret, why did it have to be me...
Why?
Those were the things she kept on repeating, her mind felt empty. Her emotions went blank, just like her mind...nothing sparked. It was weird- seeing the lovable and caring Kunoichi turn into something, something nobody else would expect.
The metal bars clicked, she could hear the gate open to her cell, he was here. She heard his footsteps lingering closer, the shuffling of his clothes and the smell of dried-up blood made her nose scrunch up in disgust. An unexplainable amount of pain appeared on the root of her hair, his hand was between the tangles, Kiro roughly gripped her hair and pulled her up to a standing stance. She couldn't do anything else but obey him.
Her legs were shaking, it's been a while since she last stood up and it didn't help that she was hungry, her stomach grumbled from desperation. Her body felt weak as if she couldn't do anything, her eyes were half opened still looking at the man before her.
"You're pathetic," He spat at her, his eyebrows furrowed indicating he was annoyed. Leaning closer to his prisoner he broke the chains that were stopping her from escaping, "We won't be needing those." He mentioned smirking slightly.
She could feel the menacing look he gave her, the chains fell to the ground making a loud clink. A sigh of relief left her lips, although that didn't last long, Kiro then proceeded to chain up both of her hands and grab the remaining chains to make sure she wouldn't escape. Many of his loyal men arrived waiting for his signal, Kiro gave them a simple nod causing them to form a circle around y/n, which only lead to her being confused.
