Stefanie POV

It was already late at night when I suddenly heard someone whispering. I squeezed my eyes tighter shut and tried to fall back asleep. But I did not succeed. I felt Roman's warm hand on my bump and quickly realized that it was him who was whispering.

Now I opened my eyes. A smile appeared on my face as I listened to my husband talking to our baby.

"Come on, my little gem. I know you can do it. Move for daddy. Maybe you can even give me a sign if you're a boy or a girl. Please. I'm so curious. I promise if you move now, Daddy will buy you a pony or a bike. Don't leave me hanging, little one," he whispered as gently as he could.

His head was close to my belly while his hand rested on it. He was totally concentrated to notice a possible movement.

"God, I love you so much. You are so darn cute trying to bribe the baby. I'm afraid you're going to have to be a little patient, though," I said softly.

Roman flinched a little, because he hadn't noticed that I was awake and had heard his every word. I raised my hand to stroke his head. It was really wonderful to see him so excited.

"Hey baby girl. I didn't mean to wake you up." he replied as he changed his position and lay down next to me. His hand remained in place, though. He probably hadn't quite given up hope yet.

I put my hand on his as he gave me a sweet kiss.

"It's okay. I love that you're so excited and impatient," I said.

"It was worth the try. The doctor said it's possible to feel the baby from the 18th week," he said.

"I know, but he also said it could take until 22 weeks. You might have to wait a little longer. Because I can't feel it yet either." I replied.

"Yeah, I know." he grumbled.

I laughed. I just couldn't help it. Sometimes he was like a big kid and that was something I loved about him. He was so excited to meet this little new human. And baby Reigns was most definitely getting the best dad in the whole world. I could already picture them roughhousing with each other. If we were to have a girl, whether now or later, Roman would surely be steaming with jealousy as soon as boys came into the picture.

"Aren't you curious? I want to know so badly how it feels and I want to know if we're having a girl or a boy." he continued.

"Of course I am. But we just have to be patient. Your little gem will do it when he or she is ready. Other than that, it doesn't matter what it will be. All I care about is that our baby is healthy. Besides, it was only a week until the gender reveal party," I said as I turned on my side to see his face in the dim light.

"It's going to be one hell of a long week." he replied, plopping down into the pillows.

-----------------

And indeed it was, but today the day had finally come. We were on the way to our party. Leo had agreed to prepare everything for the reveal. That meant, of course, that she already knew what we were going to have. I had to admit that this made me a little crazy. I had probably been infected by Roman's impatience.

Little Reese sat on my lap and looked out the window while Roman drove us to the venue. Leo insisted that we bring Reese with us. I wasn't sure if it wouldn't be too much for my little man, but I knew it was better not to contradict Leo.

It was so nice to see the whole family together. I loved Roman's big, crazy family so much and felt very comfortable with everyone. Even though it was moments like this that I missed my own family the most. It was good that I didn't have much time to be sad. Because after all the guests had arrived and we had talked to everyone, it was time for the reason for which all of you were gathered.

"This big box is filled with balloons in pink or blue. When you open it, they'll go up and we'll all see if Baby Reigns is a little Roman or a little Stefanie. We're going to count down. Three... Two... One!" spoke Leo.

Roman and I lifted the lid off the box at the same time. But what happened was not what I had expected. The only balloons that appeared were white and gold. Confused, I turned to Leo. But she was no longer to be seen.

Instead, I heard Reese's little paws. He came around the corner with balloons attached to his collar. And these balloons he was now trying to catch were bright pink.

"Oh my God!" I gasped as Roman wrapped his arms and me.

"I love my girls." he said into my ear as he held me tightly and then gave me a loving kiss.

Then as I looked into his eyes, we heard his mom call out joyfully.

"I knew it!" exclaimed Pat, making everyone present laugh. Including me and Roman, who took Reese in his arms so we could enjoy our family moment.
