You stood in front of the armoire's mirror, seeing the reflection that showed you clad in your casual business attire, and a name tag that read your first name in all capital, black letters. You wore long, black skinny jeans and a white flannel/checkered shirt that resembled a vest, and you wore your (H/C) in a high ponytail. You were going on a trip to Sina, a far, far away city that was in another state by Maria, temporarily leaving your boyfriend, Jean, who was currently sleeping on the bed behind you while you were getting ready.
You were selected to attend a meeting in Sina for Sina's Academy of Arts. You were a great artist, to which your works earned many small and big awards. You were on the path to becoming a full-time artist.
At first, you sold your paintings to friends that worked at or owned businesses and shops around the city, like your friend Erwin who owned a bar. You painted him a picture of the bartender area - the seats, counter, the bartender himself (who was Eren that was working when you painted the picture), and the long lines of drinks, wine, and beer behind him. You also made a pastel art piece for your other friend, Petra, who was a yoga teacher and wanted a painting that "relaxes the mind and strengthens the body." In that request, you created an oil painting of a water fall, with the water a pristine blue and turquoise color, the details standing out as well as the rocks, green vines, and ferns around the small pool. She payed you a lot for it, which was equal to the amount that you earned from the painting you did for Erwin.
You never really liked the idea of putting a price on your art, so you only did this hobby just for the fun of it and the satisfaction of seeing people happy. However, as time went on, you decided that you wanted this to be a career of yours, q d not some lazy job at a retail store downtown.
You started fixing your hair when you heard shuffling noises behind you, and you looked in the reflection of the mirror to see that Jean was finally awake and was stretching out his arms. He blinked a few times before adjusting his vision, and he spotted you in front of the mirror, looking back at him with a grin.
"Morning Jean." you greeted, giving him a genuine smile as you acknowledged his ruffled hair and shirtless body. Man, how you loved those abs he had - perfectly chisled, which was the result of a healthy and great body.
"Morning babe," he greeted back, his deep, toned voice slightly groggy. You were used to hearing his voice like this every morning.
He adjusted himself so that his back was resting against the headboard of the bed, and he fixed his gaze on you through the mirror, seeing that you've already got ready for your meeting today.
"Oh crap, I forgot you were leaving today for that meeting in Sina."
"Yep," you replied, satisfied with how your hair looked and turning around to meet him. You smiled again and walked over to him, sitting on the edge of the bed while he rested his head against the board. "I'll only be gone for a little while - it's only a week, anyways, so you won't miss me that much."
"...Yeah I will," he stated, slightly tugging you towards him. You gradually obliged and rested your head on his bare shoulder, snuggling yourself beside his body as he locked his hand with yours. "You're gonna be gone until the fourteenth, and I'm not gonna get to see you until that same night."
"Jean, it's almost like me going out with my friends to hang out for the day when you're not invited with us."
"That only happens when you're with Ymir, because she hates me - plus that's a whole different scenario because you'll be gone for a whole week."
