It was a few days after I would try curing Chara. I was defeated knowing that I could never save everyone. But, for some unknown reason, I felt some strange sense of determination to try changing something that would happen soon, very soon. "Hey, Azatiel?" I heard Asriel's voice around the corner. "I know everyone's been down recently, but you seem more down than everyone else. What's up?" "I don't know how to explain it, but something is going to happen in the near future, the very near future." "What do you mean?" "I'm sorry, but I can't tell you." "Maybe if you told me, I could help?" "I'm sorry, but some things must be kept secret." "I don't understand." "I don't either, Asriel. I don't either." "I really think I could help!" "You can't, trust me, you can't." Asriel then left for the new home and I knew well what his intentions were. "Hey, where are you going?" "On a walk." "Let me come with you." "All right." We walked through the underground with a somber expression on our faces. Asriel knew what he would do and I knew that it was a fool's errand. "I... Need a moment." "All right, Asriel." Asriel took a moment to steady himself before sitting down. "Are you all right?" "Yeah, just worried about stuff." "I am too. I am too." I sat down next to him. We sat there for a while, never exchanging a word. The silence was finally broken by me. "Well, I suppose we had better move on, right?" "Right." We both stood up and returned to our walk. The air was thick with tension and I knew what would come next. "Hey, I know we've only known each other for a short time, but you've kind of been like an uncle to me Azatiel." "Oh? Thank you." We reached the new home and Asriel motioned me to stop. "Oh? I don't understand." Asriel gave a smile. "Don't worry about it. I'll be back soon." He walked into Chara's room, occasionally looking back for me. "Well, Chara, It's about time I kept my promise."
