I heard Asriel leave Chara's room. I entered to find that Chara's body was gone from their bed. I would follow Asriel downstairs to the throne room. I saw him at the barrier, standing with Chara in his arms. He seemed nervous, but only for a moment. He would then pass through the barrier as if it were nothing. I would walk up to this wall of magic, uncertain if I could even do anything to pass it. This uncertainty passed as I remembered what I was capable of and I passed through the barrier as well. My power must have been greater or equal to the powers of seven human souls, probably greater though. I witnessed Asriel bringing Chara's lifeless cadaver to a nearby township, surrounded by humans. Before they even had a chance to raise a weapon, I would cast a shielding incantation upon Asriel. Asriel would pass through the town and not a scratch would be placed upon him. Asriel noticed, but did not care. The humans would finally take notice of me. "Oi! Looks like the murderer brought a buddy!" I would not strike them, even as they readied their weapons. A shield was placed upon myself as well, impenetrable by design. A flurry of projectiles fell upon our shields and they all bounced off as if they were nothing. Asriel would finally place Chara down at the base of a tree in the center of town. As Asriel rose, he called to me. "Azatiel?! What are you? How are you?" "Don't worry about it. Go!" Asriel practically flew out of the town back to the mountain. "I know I can't win." Reality began to fade around me. "But I can lose." The world began to shift before my eyes. "Again and again." The world returned to a state before I left through the barrier. "And again." I tried again to save him. "And again." The world refused to change. "And again." Time would not bend to my will. "And again." The timeline would reset. "And again." There was nothing I could do. "And again." I felt that I would lose myself. "And again." I would lose everything I came here for. "Again." I could not save a single life. "Again." What I was trying to prevent was inevitable. "Again." Nothing could stop it. "Again." "Again." Even imagination had its limits. "Again." I had met those limits. "Again." I would try so many times I lost count. "Again." None of them were successful. "Again." Nothing will stop the logic of the world.
