Fortunately, before I could do anything drastic, the catalyst, Frisk, fell to the Underground. Toriel went to greet them while I waited in our home. It was our home in a sense that I also lived there. Toriel took care things most of the time, but I would cook something here, clean up there, generally a peaceful life. I was cooking a butterscotch-cinnamon pie that day. It was nice to have something to do, I guess. Then, in a few minutes, they arrived at our home. "Azatiel! There's a human that fell!" Toriel shouted through the house. "Oh? That's neat. I'll come and see them in a minute." I just took the pie out of the oven to let it cool and walked on over to greet the human. "Hey there. I'm Azatiel. Pleasure to meet you." Despite my calm an friendly words, something felt, well, off about the human. I then noticed some dust on their shirt. Not the average amount of dust you normally find on a shirt, but more like a bit of flour was spilled. I thought it was nothing and moved on. This was a mistake on my end. Toriel then showed the human to the spare kids' room and the human went to sleep. Toriel would retire to her chair to read and I would sit own my own chair with a book of my own. The human awakened and immediately asked how to leave the ruins. Toriel left to close the doorway to the ruins and the human followed. I would get up from my reading and follow stealthily behind. I kept myself behind the final corner to the exit to eavesdrop on how the fight between Toriel and the human would go. I never heard the human swing their weapon. Things were going amazingly until there was a sound of shredded cloth and a cry of disbelief. I held back the urge to go on and intervene. I heard Toriel's final words and a shower of dust hit the floor. The Underground would be emptied that day, but not a one would see the sun above. The end was upon us.
