Christmas Eve, everything's prepared for tomorrow, there's stacks of DVDs by the TV, with the mug ready for hot chocolate goodness that's going to keep Lila warm for the coming days. Since Theodore so 'kindly' invited himself to eat what should've been leftovers the other day, Lila's taken the measure of making something closer to home.

Fried chicken.

With Theodore busied getting Christmas plans together with his siblings and uncle, Lila hoped to enjoy the fried chicken in peace and not having to split it between a hungry giant and his four ferrets.

Don't know a thing about space ferrets, but the fact that they're able to eat all that without having an upset stomach baffled her.

The fact they were still hungry for dessert's another matter, Lila didn't expect them wanting her cheesecake to go along with their dinner, and she's lucky to get two pieces!

Well, at least Theodore helped clean up after all that, that's something, but the point stood that this gaggle ate her entire dinner and dessert without missing a beat!

Now, Lila's hoping to get some dinner to herself, she's got the cast iron she gotten from nana, seasoned and readied, her spices, everything from the Watson family cookbook, she's going to have herself a nice Christmas Day meal and top it off with a marathon of Christmas classics like, 'Die Hard.'

"Oh right, I have to give his present after their dinner tomorrow," Lila remembered that she needed to give Theodore, his Christmas present.

What does one give a giant like that for Christmas?

Lila took a stab in the dark and gotten Theodore something that she hoped he'd like, don't ask why she thought this' a good idea, but hell, it's something.

A white elephant statue with gold painted inlays.

Got it during an adventure when she saw it, thought it'd make a good gift at the time. Theodore didn't know anything about it because she kept that memory locked up tight, even if he doesn't snoop in her head.

Never going to get used to the fact that she's had telepathic conversations with someone who's in a different part of the city, but after countless strange adventures, it's not the weirdest thing to happen to her. That's saying something.

"Alright, Ziggy isn't hounding us, Hammond's busy, just you and me and fried chicken," Lila murmured as she prepared to grab everything and begin marinating the chicken.

Good idea, she thought.

Cook today, leftovers tomorrow.

Clean now, potato later.

Ever since she became acquitted with Sontarian, Lila had different opinions of potatoes. She wondered if the potatoes she cooks with were of a devolved relative of the Sontarian.

Theodore assured her that potatoes weren't, but with their strange days, Lila doesn't want to begin thinking about the chances that he's wrong about it.

While getting the flour out, Lila felt the air shifting in her 'flat' and stopped, she knows that air shift.

No.

No.

Not tonight.

She just wants to spend the holidays to herself!

For the love of God, doesn't that machine have something better to do than bother them?

Frozen in terror, Lila heard that ruckus coming from behind her of the TARDIS appearing in her 'flat' and she relied on old films as she stayed quiet and didn't move an inch.
