To sum everything that happened to Theodore within weeks' time, it's been a rollercoaster, since the Sontaran and when his uncle pushed him and Lila into the TARDIS.
Oh, the adventures that mischievous machine threw them in, it's a miracle they're even alive to tell it. For Lila, it's a miracle that she kept her head, because it's a lot to take in when she's never experienced such a thing before, and she's finding her footing, relying on the skills and aptitude from her father and his navy background.
There's been conspiracies, aliens, tyrannical governments, many more, and they've dealt with them by the skin of their teeth. The moment they found themselves back in their world, Lila must've sat in her chair for a while, trying to acclimate back to her routine, and failing.
Having experienced her time in the TARDIS, Lila's seeing what Hamon meant, there's no going back to normal, not after seeing the business end of a Sontaran blaster and seeing it in use, with only a limestone wall guarding her. She's not missing running for her life, that much apparent, and for Theodore, he's wondering to himself how his father dealt with it all, because it wasn't any easier for him.
The way his father put it, Theodore should've been tact by the seventh adventure, but alas, he wasn't as agile like his father, and if not for Lila's help, he'd lost his head, too.
Their countless adventures only resulted in them losing a full day and for Lila, the time dilution isn't helping her at all, as she's unable to process the fact they've only been gone a day. The three hours from the first time's already pushing it, but this broke the camel's back.
Theodore helped her by explaining that she'll get used to it eventually, the more she travels back and forth, it'll be easier on her, and she won't feel like she's jet lagged as much as she's feeling from the time dilution.
Frowning, Lila conceded as the two spent time in her flat trying to recover from the marathon of adventuring that machine made them take part in.
Almost a miracle it let them come home, considering, but Theodore said they'll have to survey the TARDIS and ensure everything's in proper order and to make sure there's plenty of snacks and such for the long haul. Not a lot of food's edible for humans and hybrids, alike.
There's things even Theodore couldn't eat despite his physiology.
"Okay, but can we not do that so soon?" Lila asked him to rain check it for another time. She just wants to go into the bathroom, sit in her tub for a couple of hours, and try to sleep.
Nodding, Theodore told her that the TARDIS allowed them time to spend in their universe, Lila has enough to collect herself before the next adventure, and she audibly groaned.
Looking at the time, Theodore excused himself and reentered the TARDIS where it disappeared from Lila's flat and into his.
As soon as he stepped out, Theodore went straight into the loo, threw off his clothes, and showered off the grime and sweat he accumulated over the course of the adventures. Having no time to wash, it's a miracle he wasn't sanctioned from the BO he's producing. His clothes hardly fared better and Theodore now understood why his father wore those drab clothes that smelled of smoke and what else. Hard to clean them when he's always on the run from something. Must've been a dream when he hung up his scarf that'll never smell again.
As he came out of the loo, washed, and readied to sprawl out on his bed for a couple of hours. He didn't even want to look at his mobile, just wanted to sleep away in his bed.
Alas, his brother had a different idea, the fiend.
Just before he even got to touch the plush comforter, his brother immediately telepathed with him, and oh, Theodore didn't even want to entertain the thought of it.
