NO ONES POV: hitoshi and izuku

Hitoshi did what his dad had told him to do. He took a deep breath, grabbed two cookies and walked upstairs to his greenbeans room.

He knocked on the door, and when he didnt get an answer he opened the door slowly and walked in.

"zuku? are you awake?" hitoshi called.

Hitoshi looked towards izukus bed and saw nothing, then over near the corner where his bean bag was and saw green fluffy hair. Izuku was sitting on the beanbag quietly, half way through a book he was reading.

Izuku knew he was there, obviously, and scooted over to make room for hitoshi to sit. Hitoshi smiled slightly and walked over there, sitting down next to izuku.

"want a cookie? they're chocolate chip" hitoshi asked, holding up a cookie infront of him while biting into his own.

Izuku looked at the cookie, then back at his book. he picked up a small folded piece of paper and placed in in the page he was up to before putting the book down and taking the cookie, biting a small piece out of it.

They sat in silence, just sitting together and eating their cookie. once they were done hitoshi broke the silence.

"what were you reading?" he asked.

"a book" izuku replied.

Hitoshi rolled his eyes and nudged izuku with his shoulder, making him flinch.

That hurt hitoshi and he felt guilty. but he ignored it and kept talking.

"no shit dumbass. whats it called? whats it about? stuff like that" Hitoshi continued. He was going to get more than two words out of izuku even if he had to exhaust every last tactic.

"its about two people. a boy and a girl. ive read it before. the girl lost her sister a little while ago and is still struggling with it. she finds herself at the top of a building in her school, or in a bell tower. i cant remember. she meets a boy up there and he saves her. everyone thinks she saved him. nobody likes him because hes troubled. mentally ill. they say hes a freak. they get paired together for a school project. he teaches her how to love again. love life, love herself, love others. she loves him. and he loves her. but then his mental health starts to get worse and worse. He kills himself in the end. there was nothing to make him last." Izuku pauses talking and finally looked towards hitoshi.

"the way i see it, its about love. he loved her. he did anything for her and he gave her, her life back. even though he was struggling so so very much he gave that to her. it wasnt just the physical aspect of life he gave her. he made her appreciate life again. to love it. he gave her back her light in her eyes." he finished, looking down at his lap and not looking back up.

"you really like this book dont you?" hitoshi said in return.

"i guess so" was all izuku said back.

-

Izuku barely talked after that, and eventually it grew late and both boys went to bed along with aizawa and yamada.

-

It was now friday morning, yamada and aizawa were downstairs getting breakfast ready. Yamada was just about to screech for the boys to wake up and come down, but they suddenly both walked down the stairs fully dressed with their school bags.

"well thats a first hitoshi, usually you're still sleeping" aizawa teases while setting the table.

"shut it old man, maybe you should sleep more" hitoshi argues back.
