So how do I date myself?
I've played the original Oregon Trail on a PC in Junior high computer lab. (This was the highlight of our week, trust me)
My introduction to the internet occurred around middle school with the use of one of these bitches ...

I've played games on the original Atari gaming system. We also owned an Odyssy gaming system. Which in my opinion was better than Atari but they never caught on.

I had a Walkman
We owned a VHS player and a Betamax player. This was a portable video camera when I was a kid. My father had one similar to this though his camera was slightly smaller. Can you imagine lugging that around? My dad did on every family vacation ... so much fun

I remember when cable channels weren't twenty four hours and what was considered the 'basic' channels was nearly everything they had
I've watched UHF channels
Used exclusively a land line when I was a kid and used a rotary phone
I remember when Dominoes had the 30 mins or it's free guarantee, until they discontinued it because drivers were getting into too many accidents trying to make deliveries on time
Pizza Hut used to be sit down restaurants only, not some store front carry out joint
I also remember when Little Caesars gave you a free pizza when you bought one, not every once in a while, every single time. It was huge, unwieldly thing to carry. But FREE a pizza EVERY TIME! I miss that, their pizza used to be really good

Renting a movie meant hauling your butt to Blockbuster
I was in my middle school PE class when news of the Space Shuttle Challenger explosion broke
I've used an electric type writer - correction tape sucks
I survived the Cabbage Patch Kids craze and owned (still own) several
I've shopped at Service Merchandise and K-Mart (also Venture and White Hen Pantry, which I think were exclusively Midwest stores, maybe even exclusive to Chicago. I honestly don't remember)
I was a Toys 'R Us kid
I was in high school when the Berlin Wall came down
My daughter was a little over a year old when 9-11 happened
There we go I think I've thoroughly dated myself. If you have any questions, go ahead and ask :)
