"What" I said in disbelief.

"Your a Medium Marissa" Sam Said "Thanks Hagrid I got that part" I said. Colby laughed 

"That's why you could see the Demon and they couldn't" Amanda said. I sat there for a second still in shock. I knew I was an empath but a medium.

"That's why you saw that guy at the hotel the one who was on Sam's laptop" Colby said 

This is too much I thought I started to feel like everything was closing in on me I had to get out of here. 

I got up and ran out the front door ignoring Sam and Amanda and Colby yelling for me. I swung the gate open and turned right running down the sidewalk not caring that I probably looked nuts in my pajamas and slippers my hair in 2 now messed up french braids and bandages on my arms.

I kept running turning every once in awhile never slowing down. I ran for what felt like forever before I eventually stopped and realized the sun was setting. I reached into my pocket for my phone realizing I left it in Colby's room.

"Fuck fuck fuck" I said. I started walking back the way I came but how was I gonna get back I had ran mindlessly for hours and taken random turns. I took a deep breath trying not to panic and kept walking trying to remember the spots I had turned

I walked for another hour before I really started to panic. It was now completely dark out and I was lost. I sat against a building pulling my knees to my chest and crying. I cried and cried until I heard the squeal of brakes. I looked up trying to make out the car but couldn't through the tears. I then heard a car door open and shut.

"MARISSA" I heard a familiar voice shout. I looked up "SAM" I yelled. I stood up and ran to him and hugged him and cried into his shoulder. "I got you I got you" He said. I pulled away and we got into his car. 

I picked at my nails nervously on the way back to the house. We pulled into the driveway and I hesitated. "He isn't mad Marissa" Sam said I nodded and got out of the car following Sam to the front door. As soon as he opened it I heard Colby.

"Did you find her" Colby said. Sam stepped aside letting me in and shutting the front door behind me. Colby came running down the stairs "Oh thank fucking god" he said and pulled me into him tightly wrapping his arms around my waist. I wrapped my arms around his neck.

"I'm sorry" I said. "It's ok you got overwhelmed just let me help you next time" He said into my hair. "Ok" I said then turned around Colby's arm's still around my waist. "Thank you Sam" I said. He smiled softly and nodded then left to the kitchen.

"Come on" Colby said and started to lead me up the stairs with his hand on the small of my back. He led me up the stairs and into his room and we sat on the couch. I pulled my legs up to sit criss cross.

"Ok I have to talk to you about something" Colby said. "Ok" I said.

"So Amanda said that she wants to help you with your mediumship so you can control it" He said I nodded. "But it would be very difficult because you live in Minnesota and she is here in California so I have a question for you" Colby said. "Ok" I said. "How would you feel about moving in here and the guest room would be yours" He said.

"Colby are you serious what about Quin I can't ditch her and make her pay rent herself. And I still have to finish some parts of cosmetology school and I don't have a job out here" I said

"Hey hey breathe I talked to Quin and she said that it would work for her because Elliot needs some help till he is fully healed so he would move in with her. I also talked to Devyn who is a makeup artist and she talked to your school and they are gonna let her finish teaching you" He said
