Colby's POV

My heart broke hearing Marissa saying she was failing. "You are not failing okay we are new to this. Having a newborn isn't easy for anyone. Your not alone in this love. I'm here and we have so many people wanting to help us." I said. I put my fingers under her chin tilting her head up to look at me. "Accept help please." I said softly. "Okay." She whispered.

I gave her a gentle kiss then wiped her tears away gently with my thumbs. "I love you." I said. "I love you too she said resting her head on me once again. After a minute her breathing evened out and she began to softly snore. I laid her down gently then pulled up the cover's.

I carefully and quietly left the room shutting the door behind me. I walked out and saw Everest asleep in Kat's arms. "Thank you." I said. She smiled "Your welcome." she said softly. I went and sat next to her and she carefully handed Everest to me.

I gently kissed his head. I sat there admiring him. He had Marissa's small button nose, My lips Marissa's cheeks, My brown hair, Marissa's eye shape, and my bright blue color to them. He was the perfect mix of the two of us. Jake, Tara, Corey, and Devyn left to do something.

Sam, Kat, and I sat with Everest for a hour before they went up stairs. 10 minutes later Marissa woke up. She walked over and sat next to me. I wrapped my arm around her and kissed her head. "Hopefully he wakes up soon to eat because my boobs feel like there gonna explode." She said. "You could pump and then save it." I said.

"Wow I feel dumb I totally forgot about that." She said. I chuckled. She got up and went to the nursery and came out wearing the bra with the pumps on it that connected to the machine she was carrying. She came and sat criss cross next to me and turned it on.

"There we go." she said as breast milk slowly trickled into the bottles. "Ugh I feel like a cow." She said. "Your not a cow." I said and kissed her temple. We heard Sam and Kat come out of there room. "Heads up there is milking happening." Marissa said. They chuckled as they came downstairs. Kat sat next to Marissa and Sam sat next to me.

"That has to feel weird." Kat said. "It does it's a little uncomfortable but its better than feeling like my boobs are gonna explode." Marissa said making us laugh. "Hi buddy." Sam said. I looked down to see Everest with his eyes wide open. "He has your eyes Colby." Sam said. "I know I was just thinking earlier he is the perfect mix of Marissa and I because he has Marissa's small button nose, My lips Marissa's cheeks, My brown hair, Marissa's eye shape, and my bright blue eye color." I said.

I looked over and Marissa was smiling big. We all chatted for a bit and Marissa finished pumping then went and measured the milk out and put it in bags and into the freezer. She came back and sat by us again. A minute later there was a knock at the front door. Sam got up and grabbed it.

He came back a few seconds later with Elton. Marissa smiled and stood up and hugged him. "Hey kiddo." Elton said as they separated. They sat on the couch next to each other. "I got something for you guys." He said.

Elton reached into his pocket and pulled out two onesies one was white and had a cute painted face of Astra on it and said protected by Astra. "Oh my god that's amazing." Marissa said. Elton handed her the next one it was black on the front in white it said Mess with me you mess with Mama and Dada and on the back it said and My uncles and aunties. Corey, Devyn, Jake, Tara, Sam, Kat, Quin, Elton, Mike, Aryia, Kevin, Reggie, Cassie, Amber, Brennen, Nate, Matt, Dakota, Tanner, Chelsea, Alex, Shea, Kris, Celina, Mackie, Amanda, Adella, Gage, Nana and Papa and many more.

"That is awesome." I said. "I agree thank you Elton." Marissa said and gave him a hug. "Your welcome." Elton said. "Wanna hold him." I asked Elton. He smiled. "Of course." He said. I handed Everest to him. "Hey good to see you again bud." Elton said. Marissa smiled.
