THE GLOW OF the symbol on her chest had Diana constantly looking down, admiring the way that it sat on the suit. Her design was flawless, it just felt right, of course, Tony had inputted some things like the lines that connected the firefly to the collar and the striped waist of her suit. She was grateful for the lack of long sleeves. Her upper arms were cooled by the breeze that the fast-moving transport provided everyone as the heat of the sun beat down on them.
Diana's heart was racing, she wondered if that was affecting the way her suit glowed with the surge of energy she had flowing through her. Her nerves made her hands shake and they only stopped when a vibranium hand clasped both her hands in it. She looked over at Bucky who wasn't even facing his head in her direction, instead, it was looking towards their destination.
The fields flew by under them as the transport sped down, the thumping of the Veronica suit was the only thing Diana could hear over the wind since no one was speaking. When she stopped trembling, Bucky removed his hand and readjusted his grip on his gun. The hardened look set on his face was different than the soldiers, less angry, more tired than anything.
"How we looking, Bruce?" Natasha asked through the comm, she was on a transport with Okoye, looking back at the bumbling man in the suit.
"Yeah, I think I'm getting the hang of it!" Bruce replied, seconds later, Diana was looking over her shoulder as Bruce leaped into the air and used the repulsors to glide, keeping up with the transports, "Wow! This is amazing, man! It's like being the hulk without actually-"
Bruce cut himself off with a groan and Diana looked back, seeing the suit grind into the dirt, Bruce tripped on something, now leaving a destroyed trail of dirt and clumps of grass in his wake. Diana held back a chuckle as she looked back forward. She reached into the pouch on her belt and pulled out a small rock, turning it into a hair tie to pull her hair up in a tight ponytail, keeping the strands out of her face.
She looked over to see Bucky had been watching her do this the whole time. A brow raised on his face when he realized he was caught.
"You want a hair tie for those luscious locks?" She asked over the wind.
"No," He replied firmly, "I really don't"
Diana shrugged, the words "Your loss," Tumbling over her mouth though she wasn't sure if he heard. If he did, he didn't give a response.
