HER UNBLINKING EYES were cast over the water. The lake was beautiful but everything appeared dull and lackluster to Diana. The sun didn't shine as bright, the grass wasn't as green. Diana wished she still had her red hair, anything to stay connected to her friend. She didn't even realize that her face was wet from her tears until a breeze blew across her and chilled her damp cheeks›.

Steve had an arm around her. She didn't know if it was to comfort her or himself, but she didn't care, she still appreciated it. The Avengers were with her, and she definitely needed them now.

Diana could only think back to her many memories with Natasha. Fighting by her side in 2012, kissing her on the escalator in 2014 to avoid HYDRA detection, reuniting with her after she was rescued in 2015. Diana missed her best friend; the last memory she had of the woman was earlier in the day when she traced that heart in the air, meant for the redhead.

"Do we know if she had family?" Tony asked.

Diana wasn't sure if Natasha told the others about Yelena. She never personally met the blonde Russian, only hearing stories from Nat herself. Someone had reached out to Natasha — maybe a former Red Room victim — and informed her that Yelena had been dusted by the snap.

"Yeah. Us," Steve answered, proving that he, at least, didn't know.

Diana glanced up at Clint and they shared a look. She figured he would be familiar with Natasha's sister— he had known Natasha a lot longer than Diana did. They went through a lot together even before the spat with Loki. Diana and Clint had a silent agreement not to mention Yelena.

"What?" Thor asked, his brows etched together in confusion as he turned to Tony. He seemed almost offended by the question.

"I just asked him a question—"

"Yeah, you're acting like she's dead. Why are we acting like she's dead? We have the stones, right? As long as we have the stones, Cap, we can bring her back, isn't that right?" Thor's voice began to turn towards a more guttural tone, almost like he was growling. "So stop this shit. We're the Avengers, get it together."

"We can't get her back." The crack in Clint's voice triggered another fountain of tears from Diana. She curled into Steve, silent sobs working their way over her body at the reminder of the hole in her chest.
