Bakugou POV

We never did find out what happened that day. All he's ever said about it is that he spiraled. His nightmares were pretty bad again after that incident too. We usually had to fall asleep with him every night for a while. We didn't mind it. Ei and I would do anything to keep him safe and loved and protected.

Finally. 8 fucking hours of bullshit. I walk into Sho's... ours...? The fucking apartment. I don't currently like that the doors unlocked. I also don't like that there's food sitting outside the door. Who the fuck orders food and doesn't bring it in? Fucking idiots. I pick up the food to be met with a dark apartment. Why are the lights off? It's only 8 pm. Don't tell me these assholes went to bed at 8pm already. I place the cold food on the counter and walk around the apartment searching for Ei and Sho. I finally walk into Sho's room to see an awake Ei shushing me. I get closer to see Sho cuddled up next to him. I tiptoe out of the room to shower and change into something else. I hope Sho's still asleep when I get back.

"He still asleep?" I whisper to Ei.
"Yeah" Ei says in a half giggle
I try to climb into his bed in the softest way possible as to not wake him up.
"I'm guessing this is why food was left outside the door?" I whisper again.
"Yeah sorry about that. I ordered Soba for Sho but we fell asleep before we could get it." He whispers back.
"Why was the front door unlocked?" I question in angry whisper.
"I guess we forgot to lock it after you left. Sorry about that too. I'll be more careful from now on" he whispers again.
"I just don't want you guys getting hurt" I whisper back. "If something we're to happen to you two while I was gone..." Ei lifts his hand off Sho's waist and cups my face. "A) we're pro heroes. I think we'll be okay. And B) when did you become such a softie" he giggles a little bit. "Oh shut the fuck up, dumbass" I say back, pushing his hand away from my face. "You should be thankful that I'm not currently kicking your ass after the front door stunt" I respond.

I look down at Sho. He looks so peaceful when he sleeps. Although, I'm a little jealous he's cuddling Ei right now.

"He's gonna be happy to see you when he wakes up" Ei giggles. "What makes you say that?" I question resting my arm by Sho's head. "His last words before he fell asleep were 'I miss Kats'." I feel myself blush a little.

"I've had to pee for the last 6 hours but I can't get myself to move" Ei says. I laugh at him quietly as to not wake up Sho. "You get up. I'll cuddle him" I say. "We'll take shifts like when he used to have his nightmares..." my voice trails. "Is that why you're cuddling him? Did they come back?"

"Hey! Everything is fine. He just wanted to cuddle!" Ei says. I feel myself breathe a sigh of relief. We time our movements perfectly just like we used to do. Ei slowly gets up still careful as to not wake the cute sleeping boy. I wrap my arm around his waist and ever so gently pull him closer to me. I give him a slight kiss on his cheek.

"Mmm Ei..." Sho starts to say patting the bed in front of him. He then pats behind him to feel for me. He's definitely trying to figure out who's cuddling him. It's so cute. He slowly turns around and faces my chest.

"Mmm hi Kats" he says in his cute sleepy voice.
"Hi Sho" I respond back.
"Are you waking up? Are you hungry? Do you want anything?"
"Mmm no I'm okay right now" he says back. "I just want cuddles" he says again.
I wrap my arms tighter around him and pull him closer.
"I kissed you today" he giggles.
"Yeah you did. It was the highlight of my day" I say back kissing his cheek.
"Mmm that's good" he says sleepily. "How was being a pro hero..." I can hear the frown in his voice.
"Annoying. I would've much rather been home, in bed, with you" I say back trying to cheer him up.
"Did Ei tell you?" He whispers.
"He didn't tell me anything. Is he supposed to tell me something?" I ask.
"Did you really think I'd break our promise?" Ei walks back in.
"No... it's just... you can tell him, If you want." Sho says, still laying down.
"You two are freaking me out" I respond trying to figure out what's going on.
Ei kisses Sho's forehead. "Is it okay if I go to talk to Kats out in the living room?" Sho shakes his head yes. "Okay. Can you try to back to sleep for me?" Sho shakes his head yes again. "Good. I'll bring you some soba later, okay?" Ei gets a big smile from Sho and then kisses him on his nose.

"When did you two get so lovey like that?" I question as I follow Ei to the living room.

"It happened again." He says, ignoring me.
"What did?" I ask.
"Well first it was kind of like a breakdown because he doesn't get called into work anymore. And then it just kinda trickled down from that. Including another nightmare and panic attack." He says, breaking the news in the gentlest way possible.
"So what did you do?" I question. I can feel myself accidentally getting defensive.
"I gave him a bath. And I read to him. And I never left his side. And we did the circle thingy to help him breathe through his panic attack. It just hurt to see him so sad. Kats. As much as I hate to say it. I think he needs missions again." He finally breathes out.
"No. Absolutely not. We don't even know what happened last time. What if it happens again?" I question.
"You're being extremely selfish. Your fear of losing him doesn't trump his needs" Ei says.

"I don't think I've ever seen you two fight like this before"
