Mission

Bakugou POV

"The league of villains? You've got to be fucking kidding me!" I say as we get to the location.
"That's probably why they contacted all of us" I hear Momos voice behind me as I look around to see practically everyone from OG 1A.
"Todoroki isn't here though" I hear Mineta say. "Where is he?" Koda asks.
"Probably not coming." I say as Ei and I look at each other.
"Why wouldn't he come?" Kaminari asks.
"Oh. Because. You know. He's still getting eased into missions and everything. They wouldn't just send him into something this big, would they?" Ei questions them.
"Never say never" Mina speaks up.
"He's still a pro hero, with us. And he's got a really strong quirk that we could sure use." Midoriya pipes in.
"Shut up shitty Deku!" I yell.
I feel Ei put his arm around me.
"Don't worry. He's gonna be fine. It's fine." Ei says.
"Alright. Ready guys?" Midoriya says as we all get ready for the fight that's about to happen.
"Yes" we all say in unison.

"Bakugou! Use your explosions right there!" Midoriya says to me.
"I know, I know! I'm not stupid, shitty Deku!" I yell back.
"Stop yelling at him and focus Bakugou!" Momo yells.
"Shut up stupid extra" I yell again.
"Hey. Wait. There's ice!" I hear someone yell behind us.
"Ice? Does this guy have an ice quirk we didn't know about?!" I question back as we all stop for a second to see what's going on.
"Man you guys are so annoying. Listening to you bicker while fighting is giving me a headache." I hear a familiar voice behind me.
"What are you doing here" I question with a bit of anger in my voice.
"We'll talk later." He says as he runs off.
"We gotta take this guy down first" he yells back.
Ei and I look at each other, shocked.
"He does look happy though, doesn't he?" Ei says.
"Tsk. Shut up." I say back, following Sho and Deku.

I'll admit. Watching him is the happiest I've seen him in years. He hasn't used his fire or ice in while, but it's still like no time has gone from the last time I've seen him in a battle. He ends up freezing the guy in place without even really breaking a sweat.

"Behind you!!!" I hear someone scream. Before I can even turn around I feel my body move.

"Stop letting your guard down!" Deku pushes me out of the way.
"We need everyone to focus!" He says again glaring at me.
"Shut up. I didn't ask for your help!" I say to him as I stand up. Deku tries to restrain the second villain that came out of no where but he breaks out of it.
"Deku!" I hear Uraraka.
"Stop with the fucking bickering, Bakugou. Seriously." I'll let it slide considering I know it's Sho that said it.
"Fine. Fine" I comply focusing on the villain in front of us.
"We need to time our attacks together." Sho shouts at all of us.
"On it!" I hear Deku.
He's really getting on my nerves today.
We all listen to show and finally are able to restrain the second guy.
"Our orders are just to restrain them and take them back to base. So that's what we'll do" Midoriya says to all of us.
"We don't know how many more there are. Just that they've rebranded the League of Villains. So as always, keep your guard up" he says again.
"Why are you here?" I question walking up to Sho.
He rolls his eyes.
"And here I thought you'd be happy to see me" he says with a smirk in his voice.
"Ugh. Really? Now?" I question, knowing exactly what he's trying to do.
"Can you blame him?" Ei says to us. "We've been depriving him" he laughs a little.
"Mmm no. Not now. I'm just teasing, babe" Sho says patting my chest. "You're sweaty" he says again while laughing.
"Seriously. Why are you here?" I question again.
"They told me to come. I'm glad I did. You guys suck. Kats. You gotta stop fighting with everyone. It's distracting and annoying" he says to me.
"Actually. They said they would've called me sooner but it seems they had the wrong phone number for me. Say. Do either of you two happen to know anything about that?" He questions.
"Why would we do that?" Ei questions him back.
"I don't think you would. But maybe him" he says looking at me.
"You really think I would?" I question.
"Well it's no secret that you didn't want me on missions and you'd do anything to keep me from them." He says.
While he's right, I would never stoop that low.
"No. I would never do anything like that, and frankly, I'm hurt you'd even accuse me of something that" I say getting slightly angry.
"So did you see our presents?" Ei says changing the conversation.
"Yeah. Thanks. I appreciated them a lot" Sho says back trying not to giggle.
"Come on. We have a long couple days ahead of us." He says as we all walk into the main building to regroup with everyone.
"Hey thanks for your help today. We sure missed you! It's nice having you back with us!" Everyone crowds around Sho.
"It's really no problem. I'm glad at least some people are happy to have me here" he shoots a glance at me.
I walk away while Sho talks with everyone. It's not that I'm not happy he's here. It's more that I just think it's too soon and too big of a mission for him. They should have kept him on smaller missions. But instead they put him right back into something like this.

"Thought I'd find you out here... Kaachan" I hear Dekus dumb voice behind me.
"You're gonna lose Todoroki if you keep this up." He says sitting next to me.
"Shut up. What do you know" I say with a bit of anger in my voice.
"A lot more than you'd think" he says back kind of in a shy way.
"I lost Uraraka this way" he says again. His voice sad and solemn.
"Our jobs are dangerous. Even more dangerous when we're dating people who are also in the field. We don't want to lose anyone we care about, and we'd do everything to protect them. But sometimes, when you try to protect someone from everything, you end up just creating an unhealthy attachment. And it'll give the opposite effect, causing us to lose them forever without even trying. I just, don't want to see anyone else make the same mistakes I did" he puts a hand on my shoulder. "Just something to think about Kaachan" he gets up and leaves.

I hate when he's right. It irritates me.
