Homer's pov

I frown down at my phone as I don't see and calls or messages from Jeremy. Ever since he slept over two day ago and I woke him from his nightmare, he hasn't reached out to me. I tried to go to his work place but they say they haven't seen him.

I miss him. I want to help but I can't help if I don't know what the problem is. Today is the day we are suppose to watch movies together but I don't know if he wants me to come.

When I woke him up, I could tell he was uncomfortable when I tried to touch him. But I wanted to get to the bottom of it. Hearing a knock on my office door I grumble as I put my phone way before I say a quick come in. Maverick walked in looking worried.

"Have you spoken with Jeremy? Ma can't seem to get a hold of him." Maverick asked me. "No. I haven't. He had a nightmare the last time we had dinner. We haven't spoken since." I tell him.

"Have you checked his clinic? The lounge?" Maverick asked bitting his nails anxiously. "Yes the clinic hasn't heard from either. I want to check his house but I don't know the address." I sigh. "I can text it to you. Make sure he's eating and sleeping. The last nightmare he hadn't eaten or slept." Maverick mumbled. "He has these nightmares frequently?" I ask him. "I don't know. Jeremy doesn't really share his personal life. But Ma and I worry for him." Maverick sighs. "I'll go check up on him I'll text you with a update." I say  to him as he nervously bites his fingernails. I sigh as I pat his shoulder.

Gathering my things before I walk out of my office. "Some personal matters have came up. I might not come in tomorrow but I'll call." I said to my secretary before I made my way to my car.

Not wasting anytime I drive straight to Jeremy's house. If I wasn't worried before I was worried now. Arriving at his house I park before going to his door incessantly knocking. "Remy. Remy. Open the door. I will not let you just blow me off for another twenty four hours." I called out but I heard no movement. Knocking once more as I grew impatient with his silence.

Sighing I try the door seeing it's unlocked making me frown. Going inside closing the door behind me, I moving forward not seeing anybody. Seeing stairs to my right, I go up seeing a bundle on the bed, dreadlocks peeking out. Walking into the room I go to the other side of the bed seeing Jeremy staring blankly in front of him.

"Jeremy." I murmur as I clench my hands behind my back. I wanted to touch him but I didn't want him uncomfortable. "I'm going to start cooking, I'll bring you a plate." I say to him even though he avoided my gaze. Descending the stairs once more, I find the kitchen. Deciding on something simple chicken noodle soup, it was nothing fancy but hopefully it would get the job done.

Making bowl for Jeremy I put it on a tray as I make my way back up the airs. Seeing Jeremy still in bed, I sit the tray on the counter. "Jeremy sit up. I made soup it isn't fufu and nkrakra but it'll do." I say as I go to him. Jeremy doesn't move a inch.

"I know I can't force you to eat but I'm worried about you baby." I said as I pause "Georgia, Maverick, your coworkers. We're all worried about you." I say to him before going downstairs. Making my way downstairs I make myself a bowl before putting rest in container.

As I continue to eat, I try to think of what might be wrong with Jeremy. I know that nightmare bothered him but it wasn't healthy to shut everyone out like he did.

Washing the dishes I glare at my reflection. Sighing I take off my suit jacket and shirt leaving me in my slacks and undershirt. Making my way to the living room I turn on the TV as I frown softly as I cross my arms pulling a throw blanket over me.

I don't pay attention to the TV as I strain my hearing of any movement upstairs. I sigh, knowing there is nothing I can do to force Jeremy to interact with me. I just have to be patient and wait it out.

****

Feeling a weight on my lap, I groan as I wake up seeing Jeremy straddling me his head on my shoulder. "Is there anything I can do you?" I ask him. "Can you just hold me? I really need to be held right now." Jeremy mumbled. Nodding I stay silent as I wrap my arms around him holding him to my chest. Feeling him nuzzle into my shoulder as he sniffles quietly.

Rubbing his back, I place small kisses on his forehead and hair. It was silent for almost a hour as the TV was a distant noise in the background. Hearing the even breathing of Jeremy as he fell asleep. Moving so I was laying on the couch, I adjust the blanket so it covered the both of us

Holding him as I fall asleep hoping that he would feel better tomorrow.
