Homer's pov
"Unc, mom wants you and Jeremy over for lunch tomorrow." Maverick said as he walked into my office making me grunt in response. "How has Jeremy been lately? Mom has talked to him some but she want you to come over." Maverick said as he sat down.
"We can't make it. Jeremy is going to visit his mother this weekend. As for me I going to be busy with work." I grunt my brow coming together. "Is it just me or are you grumpier than usual?" Maverick said with a raised eyebrow. "Jeremy called. He didn't sound right but I'm sure we'll talk eventually." I sighed.
"You know, a month ago I wasn't sure you were with Jeremy for the right reasons. I thought maybe you were experimenting with him. But you care about him, I can tell. You seem way happier then you were with Violet. More lively." Maverick said. "Well Jeremy is completely different than Violet. Where Violet was a stickler for routine and the ordinary. Jeremy is a breath of fresh air. He...He makes me want to be a better man, a better person. He isn't insecure or jealous like Violet is, what ever Violet lacked he has made up for it." I say as I see a sly smirk cross his face.
"What does Jeremy have to say about your comparison to Violet?" He asks. "He doesn't want me comparing them at all. He says there is no competition when there is no comparsion." I say to Maverick who snickers.
"Of course he would say that. I'm glad that you two found each other. You're right for one another, you found someone to put up with you." Maverick chuckled. "Get back to work." I grunt waving him off. With a annoying smirk he left the office as I rolled my eyes.
"Sir, do you want anything else? Before I head home." My secretary said as they peeped in my office. "No. Have a nice night. See you tomorrow." I say dismissing them.
Groaning as I stretch, I stand gathering my things before I leave my office. Reaching my car, I drive to my house excited and anxious to see Remy. Seeing my house in the distance I see Jeremy's truck in the driveway. Parking beside him I get out as I see Jeremy leaning against his truck with a overnight bag.
"Let's get inside Remy. What would you like to eat?" I ask him as I kiss his temple. "Tacos. Is that what you call a proper kiss?" Jeremy pouted as he narrowed his green eyes at me. Smiling I press a kiss to his lips, slipping my tongue in his mouth as I grip his hair.
"Ahaaha." Remy moaned as he pressed his hardening cock into mine. "Later. Let's eat first." I say pulling away as we head inside. Quickly going on my phone, I order our food for delivery. "Food is going to be here in thirty minutes. Hurry and shower." I say as I nudge him to the bathroom.
Jeremy kissed my cheek before he went to go shower in my bathroom. Going to the extra bathroom, I quickly shower before changing my clothes to a simple pair of sweatpants and a tshirt. Stepping into the living room, I sit on the couch as I start watching TV.
Looking up I see Jeremy move to sit on my lap. "Do you want to talk about it with me?" I asked him as he avoided my gaze. "I want to but I don't want you to judge me." Jeremy said. "When have I judged you before. There is nothing you can tell me that will change how I think about you. I realize that it might be scary to talk about your past but I want to know so I can help to ease your worries." I say as I play with his dreadlocks in my hand.
"I know. I know that. But I have a fear of people leaving me. I don't want you to go anywhere when I tell you." Jeremy grumbles as be snuggles into my chest. "You would have to beat me off with a stick, for me to leave you alone. I know that you are anxious about telling me and that's okay. It's perfectly okay." I say to him.
"You should of been a therapist." Jeremy chuckled. "I'm just understanding of everything that you've been through. I mean you don't go to war and come out unscathed. But tomorrow Georgia wanted us to come to lunch but I told Maverick we couldn't make it. I know your going to visit you mom and I don't want you to have any distractions." I say before I hear a knock at the door. Sitting Jeremy on the couch, I go grab the food before we move to the kitchen.
"I'll tell you when I come back from visiting my mother." Jeremy said as he gave me my plate before we settled on the couch with our drinks. Eating dinner I smiled at Jeremy. Even though we've only been together for a month, I don't feel as stifled with him as I felt with Violet. It's such a difference between them.
Violet never liked PDA or even for me to touch her. She never liked anything different. It was the same thing everyday. The same meal, the same make up, the same sex position. In the four months that I've been divorced, I've realized that I was never really happy with Violet.
"What are you thinking about so hard?" Jeremy asked me as he drunk his beer. "Just how I wasn't really happy in my marriage." I shrug. "Then why did you stay with here?" Jeremy asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Because I confused chemistry with compatibility. We could talk about anything for hours but we had absolutely nothing in common. Which led to alot of petty arguments." I explain as I bite into my fish taco. "So which one are we?" Jeremy asked. "A little of both." I smirk kissing his lips softly.
