"Are you really going through with the divorce?"
When asked by his lawyer, who was also a close friend, Jungkook arched his eyebrows and said, "When have I ever broken my word?"
"I just wanted to verify that. You are aware that he will attempt to haggle and ask for more than what you are now offering, aren't you?"
"That's where your job comes in, there is a prenuptial agreement already in place, and he should count himself fortunate that I am being thoughtful."
Taehyung acknowledged, "true, and you don't necessarily have to offer him anything- wait, sorry, one second." Taehyung spoke out as he grabbed his ringing phone and picked it up to answer the incoming call. "Hey, baby!"
"You were out shopping the day before yesterday. Oh, don't give me that nonsense; it's fine, do whatever you want; I don't care."...... "I'm sorry, I wasn't clear. I love you. I will pick up the kids."
After hanging up his phone, Taehyung let out a sigh of exasperation as he hurled the phone onto the table. As he stared at Jungkook, he added, "I can get the reasons behind your decision to obtain a divorce."
"You are thinking about one?" Jungkook stared at him, amused.
"No, never in a million years! I bring this up to let you know that I understand the reasons behind your desire to end the marriage. We are both doing well, Hoseok and I. He spends a lot of time adventuring with his best friend. Even if I make an effort to be empathetic, his friend does not like me. Hoseok has presented me with the request to hire him even though he has zero relevant work experience.
It is quite unlikely that he has ever held a job in his privileged life. Anyway, I gave in since I would do everything for Hoseok, but this man later told Hoseok that he didn't think my firm would be a good match for him. I was surprised to hear that. Like he should've been grateful I agreed to hire him!"
"Are you sure he and Hoseok aren't sleeping together?"
"No!" Taehyung's eyes widened in response to Jungkook's question. "They are best friends. That's most certainly not happening with them. Hoseok is not Min-hyuk, no offense."
"Noted." Jungkook commented, "anyway, please draft the documents and send them to me for review. If he calls you, send me a message, don't call me. I will be in a meeting until late afternoon today, and I would rather not be disturbed."

Seokjin's Pov:
It was a bummer that I had to put off my planned outing to the shopping mall with Hoseok, but my physician had contacted me and insisted that I come in to see him as soon as possible. I had no idea what was so urgent that it couldn't wait until my next scheduled session to be addressed. I was now situated at his office, but he had not arrived there. Why was I sitting here waiting for him if our meeting was supposed to be so important to us?
I put my hand on my tummy and gave it a little stroking as I did so, noticing that my excitement and anxiety were growing with each passing day. I was thrilled to learn that I would be a parent since having a child was something Yoongi, and I always wanted. I did not doubt that he would have been an amazing parent since he was outstanding in every aspect of his life. It brings me a lot of sadness to realize that he won't be able to travel beside me on this path. The reality of life is quite unfair. I wish that I had been able to spend more time with him.
Even though it was difficult, I took a slow, deep breath and focused my attention on bringing peace to my thoughts. I was unable to spend a single day without giving thought to him. Two years have passed, although, in my mind, it still seems like it was only yesterday. It bothers me to think of him because I miss him so much. I don't have anybody close to me that can even connect to what I'm going through or comprehend it.
