Chapter Twenty-Two

Seokjin's Pov:

"Taehyung advise that-"

"I don't want to hear anything your husband has to say because he is this man's lawyer." I was quick to interrupt Hoseok because I had confided in him the previous night about the troubling hiccups that had occurred in my life and how the man I had committed the rest of my life to had treated me after fooling me into thinking we were enjoying a date together as a married couple. Still, to my surprise, it was all a scam, so he could benefit from ridiculing me at the end regarding my spending habits, which he did not approve of.

I could hear Hoseok sign on the other end of the line, "Seokjin, it's really good advice, I promise you."

"Fine, what did he say? Can I get a divorce and all my money I came into the marriage with?"

"No. We didn't discuss that-"

"Then, what exactly did you talk about, since it is what I am interested in now. Since I am married to a con artist, neither my children nor I are in a position to benefit from being involved in a relationship of this kind. I am not accustomed to it, and neither will my children acclimate to such behaviors; therefore, I need to get myself and them out of here before it's too late."

My best friend was laughing on the other end of the line, and I rolled my eyes as I listened to him. I cannot comprehend the humor since I did not find it entertaining. I was going through a hard patch emotionally, and I didn't believe that anybody could really understand my suffering or what I was going through.

"Seokjin, please calm yourself and listen to what I have to say because I am certain you would have been an excellent actor. I know that what Jungkook has done goes far beyond what you are used to, and I know that no one likes sticking to a budget. Nevertheless, I believe Jungkook had good intentions. After you've collected yourself, you should talk to him to understand the situation more deeply. About Tae's recommendation, he stated that because Jungkook has set a daily limit of 2,000 for you, he believes that this is a good limit and that you should insist that Jungkook provide you with a monthly limit equaling approximately sixty thousand per month rather than a daily limit. Tell him that a daily limit makes you feel confined, particularly considering that you brought your money into the marriage. This way you spend the money however you like.

In addition, he suggests that Jungkook should have an emergency fund set aside that you have immediate access to at all times. This fund should never be used for shopping, but it should be available to you if an emergency arises, and you should not be required to get Jungkook's permission to use it. Also, he recommends you determine how much money should be set up in that emergency funds account."

Oh, so I get sixty thousand per month?

"Hoseok, this is really helpful. If you believe your husband can write this up for me, I'll send you a text message with the amount I want to be transferred to the emergency funds. When dealing with Jungkook, I believe providing some legal jargon and instructions for what I want him to accomplish will be advantageous. I can't stand how he treats every interaction with me like a business meeting. To tell you the truth, I do not even have the impression that I am in a relationship. I am going through such a stressful time right now, and I don't believe this is healthy for either myself or my children, but I want to express my gratitude to you for being such a wonderful friend and watching out for me."

"I would do anything for you, my darling. You already know I care about you and want the best for you. Now, please try not to worry too much; after all, you must pay your parents a visit today, right? Go and make amends with Jungkook; don't let this issue come between the two of you, and please tell Jungkook how you felt about how things were conveyed to you. As I said before, I think he meant well, but how he communicated to you about it was not okay, and he should have chosen a different day. It's possible that he needs you to educate him on certain things about relationships and how they are different from business and what he's accustomed to. I have no doubt that the two of you will have a happy and successful marriage."
