"So how is that between you and Nicolas now?" asked Robin curiously. "What do you mean?" asked Jane. After Sam and Violette came to get them for dinner, they had stayed behind for a while to clean up the weapons. "Well... you and Nicolas..." said Robin. Suddenly he was looking very intently at one of the arrows. Jane looked at him with raised eyebrows. He turned the arrow over in his hand and looked at the arrowhead. "Is Robin Lewis jealous?" asked Jane open-mouthed. She looked at him in surprise. "No...," said Robin without looking at her. "Yes!" said Jane and walked over to him. "Robin Lewis is jealous!" She gave him a poke in the belly. Robin stepped back and put his arrow back on the table. Suddenly his head turned completely red. "You still haven't answered though." Jane looked at him and said, "Well to be honest; Nicolas and I are just best friends, since childhood. We've known each other long and well. We are better friends of each other than Alexa and I are. But rest assured that we have never had anything to do with each other." She walked over to Robin and took his hands. "Okay," Robin said shortly. He looked at their hands and then he took hold of her face and kissed her. It was a long and deep kiss. Jane had never thought she would kiss anyone so intensely. They stood like that for several minutes when suddenly someone asked "So what was that about?" behind them. They let go of each other and looked around them. Robbie was standing next to Jessie on the table behind them. "Believe me, but for a moment it looked like you were both going to die," Jessie continued. She stuck her tongue out at Jane and put her arm over Robbie's shoulder. "Is there anything we need to know?" asked Robbie. "Well, to be honest: Robin is jealous..." Jane replied. She looked at Robin with a big smile. "Why doesn't that surprise me?" said Jessie. "Bah!" almost exclaimed Ronnie. "Still no taste for romance, Robbie?" asked Jessie. "Nope," replied Robbie. "Only when it's about you." He looked straight at Jessie in her eyes. "Is there anything we need to know?" asked Robin curiously. "Nope," said Robbie and turned around. He jumped off the table and walked out of the room. "No way?" Robin tried again, but Jessie also turned and walked after Robbie. Jane started laughing. "What's so funny now?" asked Robin. "The fact that you and Robbie have a problem..." Jane replied. Robin turned to Jane and took her in his arms. "Do you know that I'm glad we got to know each other?" "I think you should be especially glad that you got to know me," Jane replied. "How come you're always right?" said Robin in a choked voice. He took a lock of hair which hung in front of her face and tucked it back behind her ear. "I think you especially..." Jane began but then shut up. "That I what?" said Robin with his face so close to hers that she could feel his breath on her face. They stood like that for a while. Breathing heavily against each other without saying anything. "So there's nothing between you and Nicolas, is there?" asked Robin suddenly. "No," said Jane. She wanted to say more, but for the first time in her life couldn't find the words. Then Robin bent towards Jane and kissed her. Just as Jessie had said earlier, it felt as if they were both dying. Jane ran her hands through his hair. Each time she did so, it seemed as if his hair became a little lighter and softer. He ran his hands down her back and through her hair. Their kisses became more intense lately. It seemed as if they both knew that something terrible was going to happen. Jane thought of how she had first seen Robin. Back then he had been a young boy who mainly focused on his studies. He never did anything wrong and always appeared to be the smartest of the class. His hair used to be short. Now it had grown back and usually hung in front of his eyes. Even though his hair had been terrible four years ago, Jane had always had an eye for him. The only one who knew it then was Alexa. Jane returned to reality with a jolt. Robin lifted her up and put her on the table. He kissed her and she kissed him. It had taken so long for them to even look each other in the eye. Now they were in the consultation room kissing each other so they didn't even hear someone walk into the room. "Hey, guys?" someone said behind them. "Weren't you guys going to come out?" Jane and Robin let go of each other for the second time and looked Sky and Alexa straight in the eyes. "Is this really all you guys are doing?" asked Alexa with a raised eyebrow. Jane knew that she and Robin looked heated, and tried to say something, "Is it that bad?" She looked at Alexa with a smile and then looked back at Robin. She bent to him then, gave it a light kiss and then hopped off the table. She walked over to Alexa and said, "Sorry." to Sky as she passed him by. "Honestly: it is indeed bad!" began Alexa, but Jane put her arm through Alexa's and pulled her out of the room with her. "But..." "Shh," Jane said and winked at Robin a little more before walking out of the room. Sky and he remained there looking at the ground silently for a moment longer. "Seriously, dude?" said Sky as he looked at Robin. "What?" said Robin startled. "It wasn't that bad, was it?" "Oh, yeah," Sky said and started laughing. He walked over to Robin and put his arm over Robin's shoulder. Robin began to laugh along with him. "How bad was it?" he wanted to know. "Let's just say it looked really intense," Sky said with a smile. "It could have been worse. That's okay with me." "With you and Alexa, it's the same, isn't it!" said Robin. His face had turned bright red. "Maybe," Sky replied. "But at least we make sure no one sees it." He slapped Robin hard on the back. "Enough of the romantic stuff. Sam and Violette have been waiting for you for half an hour," Sky continued. "Half an hour?!" almost exclaimed Robin. Sky started laughing even harder. Tears were running down his face. "Oh boy," said Robin. "Don't be silly. We stood here for seven minutes with difficulty." He gave Sky a light shove. "Did you maybe set the minutes?" said Sky trying to contain his laughter. "Ha, ha, Sky," said Robin. "Let's go outside. Isn't that a good idea?" "Maybe so, yes," said Sky. He walked over to Robin and put his arm over Robin's shoulder. "I'm bigger than you..." he said with a wide smile on his face. Robin gave him a poke in the side and started laughing. "Not a little boy anymore after all, Sky," he said. "What a shame..." They both walked out of the room with wide smiles, still teasing each other.
