For the past couple of days I haven't been feeling very well.

I think it's just a common flu or something, but Megan has been by my side, insisting I eat and drink and stay in bed.

She's very sweet and I've let her know my appreciation.

However my friends know of my condition and have said they'll come over with food and teas and stuff. Problem is, they still don't know about Megan and we don't know what the Fuck to do about it.

"I can hide in the garage."

"No! Immediately!" I quickly move to sit up on my bed, my pulse quickening.

I just don't have the heart to let her just stick it out for a few hours in the garage. it's not nasty or anything but just gets seriously hot.

Megan moves carefully as she helps me lay back down. My cheeks grow a little hotter as for a split second we make deep and strong eye contact when she hovers slightly above me.

"Let me move some of this trash out the way." she quickly pulls away and takes a deep breath, grabbing a couple of used tissues in a plastic bag along with an empty bottle of ibuprofen.

The DayQuil and NyQuil are on their last drops too.

"Thank you so much."

"No problem." Megan puts a hand on My shoulder. "You don't have to thank me."

I look up at her, her eyes shimmering a little.

"I'll just stay in the guest room and lock the door, be real quiet and—-"

"Megan—" I stop her. "i'm sorry we gotta do all this, I hope eventually you can meet them and it'll all be fine."

But with all of this with her literally being WANTED I don't wanna risk anything because I know my friends aren't the type to try to tip police, but at the same time you just don't know.

You can never be too careful and I'm not necessarily sure what is it about Megan that makes me wanna go out on a limb for her after how scared I was about letting her stay. I've found a friend in her.

"Don't apologize."

"Okay." I say.

The TV is the only other sound I hear once she exits. It kinda makes me uncomfortable. I wish I could have Megan's anecdotes and jokes to keep me going but I've got to keep her safe.
