"I'm just sayin' you can't beat me at basketball, I'm basically 6 foot in sneakers."
"Oh No..." I'm shaking my head the moment I hear Megan's loud as jump from the living room. Her and Samira laugh hard as hell as they make their way to the front door where Megan is finally putting the basketball hoop to good use.
I laugh as I watch them play out the window I can only imagine how Megan would be so good with a child of ours. A little boy maybe? Maybe a little girl. It's finny watching the playful competition. Samira dunks over Megan's shoulder and they practically begin to declare war.
Megan stomps over to me with a fake pouty face.
"Mani!"
"Yes?"
I bring out a few waters and gatorades already.
"I need you to count coins. this il girl cheating'"
"No I'm not!"
"You are! you should know you can't push my arm away that's the rules of the game."
"I never pushed you!"
I can't help but laugh. I'm so happy that amidst everything, all the stress is being handled well.
"Nah, rematch, Normani I need you to record too. She swear up and down she ain't shoving, but she is!"
"I'm not, Mani!, tell her that's how you dodge!"
"Shut up and play!" I grab Megan's phone nearby and get ready to record.
They are just best friends, and I can see deep down that Megan's been wanting a baby too. I caught her many times buying some of the outfits I've been saying into my favorites behind my back. When I asked her why last week, she said it was just to have something to save.
It's so cute especially since she always would say that she didn't want a baby to tie her down in life.
She literally called Teyana one time and went through a baby stroller catalog and had her choose what she thought I would like. The most adorable thing ever.
They start dribbling and suddenly Megan dodges Samira's attempt to take the ball.
Speaking of Teyana, she never called back after she dialed Samira. We don't want to attempt to call her back because they mentioned the trial. We might be the first people they check for. It's up to Teyana now. We need to just make sure that we're out the way and safe. Samira especially being that he was looking for her.
