Normani
I wake up and am bored as hell. I refused to get up without Megan. She's sleeping longer than expected.
"C'mon lovergirl." one of my close friend's Lauren says as she stands at the doorway and looks into my bedroom.
I want Megan to get all the sleep she can muster up because I wore her ass out last night.
"Oh okay." She smirks and walks away.
I feel like she knew the moment she saw me struggling to cover myself up since Megan wanted to be a blanket hog and I only have a small corner.
"Laurennnn, if you don'---"
"It's okay, I'll wait in the living room." She leaves with a laugh.
I huff and snuggle into Megan. I have to wake her up now. All of my friends insisted to come see Megan with the exception of Ryan, she's slowly coming around though. I trust all of them to not fuck her over, at least until we can somehow find a feasible way for her to be able to have this fixed and put behind her. Lauren's mom is a lawyer and she said she was more than willing to help out.
"Megggannnnn!"
"Nigga, what?"
I grab her neck, not rough at all, but she's already giving me a sleepy ass smirk.
"Get up, Lo and her mom are here."
She sits up and cracks her knuckles. All the sleep leaves her eyes and I see a hint of anxiety come in.
"It's gonna be alright." I say. "I promise you baby."
She takes a big deep breath in.______________
Ryan huffs in the corner with her arms crossed. I discreetly roll my eyes at it because Megan has enough anxiety as is. I gave everyone something to drink as they're all sat in the dining room. Mrs. Jauregui is at the head of the table pulling out everything from a folder along with her partnering attorney.
The whole point of this meeting is to collect evidence on the owner and the company. Moreso all the proof that Megan hasn't done anything wrong, so that in the event where she may need to show to court, it wouldn't be a concern or worry. But from a legal perspective that we can understand. Mrs. Jauregui is basically gonna translate all this legal speak. So much has been coming out over the months but it's been too much for Megan to sit down and focus on, especially when seeing her completely innocent coworkers get picked up and taken to the state.
But now she says she's at a point where she's comfortable to sit down and review all of this. She knows she can't hide forever. We all know so.
Her assistant Mrs. Taylor cleared her throat.
"To cut the thickness of the anxiety in the air, I think we should all just..." she pauses to look at Megan, "We'll keep it professional no problem. I'm Teyana. I think we should all take a moment to breathe before we dive in, shall we?" She says. "We should all be friends here. We're all against the same person."
