Omniscient
The two were sitting in Normani's bedroom absolutely bored. Normani went out during the day for errands but due to the fact that Megan was a missing persona and had a warrant out for her arrest for obstruction of justice or whatever, Megan hadn't left the house in months. Normani was bored for her as well. They were watching some rerun of a show on the tv. Power or something like that and a club scene came up.
It was like a lightbulb went off for Normani.
"Megan, get in my closet and ick some dresses to try on. if none fit you, I'll buy you a dress and some heels."
Megan furrowed her brow.
"Normani, you don't need to buy me more clothes, I appreciate you and your help ad--"
"We're going out tonight. Depending on the areas of town you're in, the cops don't even go near certain clubs. We can get entrance somewhere and have some fun and a couple of drinks."
Megan's eyes widened.
"Normani, you ain't realizing that my face has been EVERYWHERE!? We could seriously get caught. I'm gonna get put up for god knows how much time and since you've been helping' me out--- I'm sorry mani, you my friend and I won't let you get in any sorts of trouble for me anymore. Please.
Normani was just stubborn though and wouldn't accept it. After a minute of just staring at her Megan saw a twinkle in Normani's eye and just know the other woman wouldn't give it up.
"Alright. I apologize in advance if I rip a dress or anything."
"Girl, it's nothing."
Normani waved it off and sat on her bed pulling out her manicure and pedicure case with nail files, clippers, polish and all sorts of things. She figured it would be a good way to complete the look. Zippers could be heard in Normani's closet. the woman was smiling wide as she heard Megan humming maybe's and disapproval's. She was hoping that Megan would feel breath of fresh air going out tonight.
Out of nowhere, Normani's phone began to go off. Not thinking much of it, she picked up, seeing the caller id, her best friend Lauren.
"Hey, Lo!"
"Hey, Mani! We're going to Gwen's, you wanna come? We aren't complete without our Mani, also Halle's in town for a week so we're trying to all go together."
Without hesitation, Normani denied her best friend's invitation. She wanted to focus on Megan tonight. As much as she loved her friends she felt Megan was someone of priority at the moment.
Megan didn't hear much of the call at all, she did find a dress that was suitable though. It fit her well, On Normani, it fit a little too long but on her it fit so perfectly.
"Hey... Mani---"
Megan walked out the closet with the dress on and Normani was trying to reach for a nail polish bottle that was about to roll off the bed but the moment she heard Megan's voice, she stopped and turned. Her body went cold immediately then instantly hot as she saw the woman before her.
