~17: Piano~

The sound made by each key pressed by her fingertips filled the air as she was in a middle of finishing practicing a piece that she was going to play at her school's talent competition tomorrow and Marinette was really looking forward to it because the prize for winning was a trip to see a famous fashion stylist in Paris who she really wanted to see so this was her opportunity for her to win the competition. She was glad that she was taught the piano by her friend Chat Noir who had been helping her to prepare for the competition since last month.

Playing the last notes of the piece, Marinette sighed in relief as she moved her hands away from the piano keys and stretched since she had been practicing for thirty minutes trying to perfect her skills because she didn't want to mess up. She closed the piano cover as she heard someone come inside the living room and it was none other than Chat Noir who had just arrived to visit Marinette.

"Hey Chat. I'm so glad that you're here. I've just finished practicing the piece that I'm going to play for tomorrow's competition. Do you want to listen to me play?" Marinette asked as Chat nods and she lifts the piano cover to start playing. She took a deep breath before she began to play the instrument as Chat listened to the music and he closed his eyes.

Once Marinette had finished playing the piano, Chat opened his eyes as he smiled at Marinette's progress over the month he had been teaching her and he was absolutely proud of her. Marinette stretched as she was tired from playing the piano for today and she stood up to get a glass of orange juice from the fridge in the kitchen. Chat sat where Marinette was originally sitting as he looked at the piano keys and he really wanted to play something for Marinette.

Chat was thinking of a piece to play as he had an idea and began to the instrument, the melodies that were created filled the empty room. Marinette heard the sounds coming from the piano as she saw Chat playing a piece of music and he was concentrating really well so that he wouldn't make mistakes or to play the wrong keys. Marinette paid close attention to the music as Chat continued to play, his fingers pressing the keys he need to use and the piece came to its end.

Playing the final couple of keys, Chat had finished playing the piano as he heard clapping coming from Marinette and he smiled at her for giving him a round of applause. Marinette came back into the room as she gave Chat a glass of orange juice, taking a sip from her own glass and he took a sip from his glass. Setting the glass down after they had finished, Marinette wanted to ask Chat how he could play so well and why he hadn't told her before.

"Wow Chat. That really amazing to listen to but how did you learn to play the piano? Why haven't you told me that you could play?" Marinette questioned the hero as he hadn't told her his reasons for being able to play the piano so well yet and he was planning to tell her now.

"Well let's just say that I have talents that surprise people and to be honest with you playing the piano helps me to relax after a long day," Chat replied as he didn't want to give away the fact that he can play the piano in his civilian form too so he gave a vague answer instead so that she wouldn't question him any further. Marinette nods as Chat closed the piano cover and he stretched after playing the instrument.

"Good luck in the competition tomorrow Mari. I hope you win and to be able to go on that trip that you told me about. I'm really glad that I was able to teach you how to play the piano and you've been a wonderful student. Just remember to take a deep breath before playing and don't stress out too much," Chat told Marinette as she gave him a hug and she was also glad to have learnt the piano with his help.
