~27: Confession~

Author's note: For the final four chapters (including this chapter) of this book it will contain lots of Marichat love than the other chapters and they'll be connected to each other. You'll see what I mean as you read the final four chapters. Anyways I hope you all enjoy!

No longer she could hide her true emotions from him. She had enough of lying to herself and keeping her true love locked away in her heart as she just had enough of keeping distant from him so she decided to finally let him know about how she really felt about him. Marinette's foot tapped against the floor as she was coming up with a perfect way to tell Chat her feelings for him and she finally came up with an idea.

Marinette stopped tapping her foot as she picked up her phone as she texted Chat to meet her on the balcony in three hours since she had a surprise for him and he replied by saying that he'll be there on time. In the meantime, Marinette opened her drawer as she took out rose petals, fairy lights and headed to the balcony to decorate the place before Chat arrived.

After everything was set up, Marinette heard her parents calling from downstairs as she made her way down to the bakery and saw Chat had arrived while she smiled. She takes his hand as she leads Chat upstairs to her room and blindfolds him but he is confused since he didn't know what she was going to do.

"Princess? Why am I being blindfolded? What's happening?" Chat asked as he was taken up to the balcony and Marinette made some final adjustments, turning the fairy lights since the sky had turned to a darker colour. Chat was starting to get anxious as to what was going to happen but Marinette told him to wait a minute before she was ready.

"Alright Kitty. You can take the blindfold off now and prepare yourself for the surprise I have for you," Marinette told Chat as he slowly took off the blindfold and what he saw completely made him awestruck. Rose petals were carefully scattered on the ground in a heart with the letters 'M+CN' and the fairy lights illuminated the balcony's railings.

"Marinette? What is all this? Is this for me?" Is this what I think it is?" Chat questioned as Marinette nods while taking a deep breath since it was really happening right now and she was about to burst with excitement but she decided to keep it in for now.

"I have something to tell you Chat," Marinette replied as she was keeping her distance from him, hoping it would be easier to get the words out if he wasn't so close because she didn't want to mess up this opportunity and she didn't want to embarrass herself.

"I feel like I've been lying to you," Marinette began to say while Chat listened closely to what she was going to say. "I feel like the longer this goes on, the more we try to pretend all of this is just a ruse, the more I ache to really be with you," Marinette told him as Chat stared at her wide-eyed. She was the one who had failed the important rule to not really fall in love.

I don't want to just pretend anymore. I do love you." I no longer want to lock away my true feelings towards you Chat and I've realised that I had to confess to you," Marinette expressed as Chat went to her, pulling her closer to him and he gently pressed her lips against hers. They both kissed for a two minutes as they forgot about all their worries or whatever negative thoughts they had and focused on each other.

They both pulled away as Chat was overjoyed that the person whom he love the most finally accepted his felling and confessed to him. He was glad that she acknowledged his romantic feeling towards her as she had managed to reciprocate those feelings back to him.

"That's what I wanted to hear Princess. Those three words were truly worth the wait and I'm impressed at the way you decorated the balcony for your confession. I'll be sure to cherish this moment with you and I will always love you no matter what happens," Chat replied as they both kissed once again and they were finally together with one another.
