~5: Chat Being A Cat~

The curse of the Black Cat. A well known curse in Paris as it was about a hero known as Chat Noir who had been cursed after stumbling upon the ancient Jewel of the Cat and the curse states that whoever touches it will he turned into an actual cat. There are two solutions to break the curse: touches the Jewel of the Cat at sunset to reverse the effects or to get kissed on top of the forehead.

It has been two years since that incident with Chat Noir as he has been in the state of a cat and he had arrived at a bakery. Marinette was outside as she saw the cat, picking him up and checking if the black cat had a name tag but the cat didn't. Marinette had heard of the curse so she assumed that the cat was Chat Noir but she found that theory to be very unlikely.

Carrying the cat to her room, Marinette set the cat down as it pranced around the room while Marinette went to get water and cat food for the black cat to eat. Once she had came back with the stuff, she set the bowl down as the cat came to eat the food and drank from the water bowl. Marinette sat on her chair as she watches the cat eat and drink until the cat finished eating.

The cat walked up to Marinette as she picks it up and sets it down on her lap while the black cat curled itself up to make itself feel more comfortable. Marinette strokes the cat as she wonders if the curse was true and the cat that she had was in fact Chat Noir.

"Chat has been missing for two years so maybe this cat could be him. I guess the only way to find out is to kiss the cat on the forehead and see what happens. If I do that then maybe the curse will he broken," Marinette pondered as she strokes the cat's jet black fur, making the cat purr and she then picked up the cat.

She let her lips kiss the cat's forehead as a bright flash of green light illuminated the room before it disappeared and the black cat had disappeared but in its place was Chat Noir who was sitting on Marinette's lap before he immediately got off. He stretched as he had been a cat for two years and finally he had been broken of the curse.

"Chat Noir?! So that cat was actually you?! I broke the curse," Marinette told the hero as Chat hugged her and thanked her for finally breaking him free of the two year curse. He didn't mind being a cat but he definitely missed being his normal self again and now he was human once more. Chat and Marinette separated from the hug but the room became silent for a few minutes until Chat spoke up.

"I'm glad that the curse is finally broken and now I'm back to being my self again. I've missed you, Princess," Chat told Marinette as he was honest about being himself and how he had missed talking to Marinette. It would be lonely for Chat since all he could do when he was a cat was purr and meow but now he is able to speak again.

"Now that you're back, why don't we celebrate?" Marinette asked as Chat looked confused because he didn't know she was planning until she ran downstairs to get somethings and she came back a few minutes later with a tray with pastries and macaroons. The aroma of the delectable treats filled the room as Chat's stomach grumbled and he laughed it off with Marinette.

They both sat down on Marinette's bed as she had set the tray in between them and they both started to eat. Chat had missed eating pastries and macaroons as he ate as much as he could. After ten minutes the treats were gone as they had been eaten and Chat was satisfied after eating.

"Thank you for sharing the delicious pastries and macaroons, Princess. I know for a fact that I wouldn't have eaten anything like that as a cat," Chat told Marinette as she smiled and they were both glad that Chat had been free from the curse as well as being his normal self once again.

Author's note: I'm really glad that the short story came out alright and I hope you all enjoyed it because this was really fun more me to write and my second favourite prompt from the list of prompts. I'll let you know what my favourite prompt is soon but you might be able to guess what it is. Word count 792
