Hey guys....yeah I know it's been a while. For those of you who have been here a while you know I usually post on my birthday (which was like 2 weeks ago) but I didn't. I just had so much happening and stuff to do and by the time I realised I had forgotten to update it. The worst being is I had it all written and everything literally just had to post it. And then I kept putting it off cause things kept popping up. But I said I better give you guys something! But yeah it's also the fact that I'm trying to get the ending of this book ready as well. And make sure it all links well together. Cause that's the main thing I'm focused on for this book. I don't just wanna throw something out there just to be finished with it. I want to make sure it's a good ending that you all deserve. Anyways I've kept you waiting long enough. Hope you enjoy! Until next time, bye!!!
Callie was shocked to see the Canadian standing there. Still guarded as she looked at her with a hint of a scowl and her arms crossed. Almost as if trying to protect herself.
"I can't imagine it" she said finally. Callie was surprised with how soft her voice was. Especially when speaking to her of all people.
But she supposed that's the effect Elliot had on her.
Callie could tell she was thinking about her. Thinking about Elliot. The way her lip ticked upwards subtly and her voice light and soft despite how guarded and tired she looked.
Jessie sighed, "Which is crazy I know". Her arms tighten around herself like she was trying to give herself a hug to comfort herself. "But I just can't see it happening".
Jessie licked her lips. "Lee. . .she just isn't that type of person. Even after the accident. I know somethings are different about her but she isn't that type of person". Jessie shakes her head as a look of pain washes across her face, "I've tried to picture what could have happened to have led up to it. How could it ever happen with the most loyal person I've ever known".
Jessie looks up to the sky as her eyes begin to water and her arms tightening around herself even more. "But I just can't. I just can't" Jessie admits as her voice breaks.
Jessie lets out a weak laugh as she wipes at her eyes. "Which makes me the dumbest person ever cause I saw it. With my own eyes. She even admitted to it. She even said it was her who kissed you". Jessie's eyes hardened as she looked at Callie, "So she either lied to for some reason protect you somehow". Jessie faltered. "Or I didn't really know her at all" she said quietly.
Callie swore she could feel her heart break looking at the girl. Callie knew that Jessie always had this Glow about her when it came to Elliot. Even when she wasn't with her, even the thought of her just seemed to have this effect on her.
She knew because Elliot was the exact same.
But now she was missing that glow. That unquenchable light and happiness that seemed to emit from her when Elliot was around. She had lost her glow.
So had Elliot.
Callie was one of the few people who had seen how both sides of the relationship had reacted to the break up. So she knew how both seemed lost without the other.
They couldn't live without each other.
"You do. Jessie I swear it's not what it seems" Callie starts but is quickly cut off by Jessie.
"Did she kiss you?" She asks raising an eyebrow at her.
Callie sighs but concedes. "Yes but!"
Jessie shrugs and goes to close the door again, "Then that's all I need to know".
Callie slams her hand on the door stopping her from closing the door. Even going as far as to put her foot in just in case she failed.
Callie did remember she was going up against an international athlete and Olympic gold medal winner.
