Jessie was having a bad day.

Okay that wasn't entirely accurate, Jessie was having a bad week.

It had all started that day. Even thinking back on it now, Jessie didn't really understand how it could have happened. How could a day that had been going so well end with so much hurt and pain?

Jessie was honestly wondering if she had missed any signs. That could have hinted that her life, once again, was about to be turned on its head. As it had been so many times before.

Or maybe the universe had some secret plot against her being happy.

That was seeming the most likely.

Because she couldn't have possible forseen this. That article has set in motion a domino effect of tragic events in Jessie's life.

Jessie had gotten her heart broken. Elliot had left the house to God knows where. Dylan wouldn't even look at her if she could afford it. And Jules was just a shell of herself. It was even worst than last time as it seemed she had no energy or life in her. Her first and last words everyday being.

"When is Mama coming home?"

And a little bit more of Jessie broke everyday as she struggled to answer the question until it eventually got to the point when Jules would just turn away without an answer.

Whether it was because she knew Jessie didn't have the answer or whether it was because maybe she thought she wouldn't like the answer she would get. Jessie didn't know.

But today was different. Jules didn't get to ask her today. Dylan decided that it was time to take Jules out of the house. Seeing as she had refused to leave the house until Elliot came home.

So Jessie was alone. Which was extremely dangerous. The silence threatening to consume her as she was left alone with only her thoughts. Constantly taunting her in the back of her mind.

Trying to ignore all the taunts and whispers in her head, Jessie decided to try and keep herself busy by doing all the jobs that have been neglected since the split. Usually the house is kept pretty much in order. Unfortunately the house was just like the family at the moment.

Falling apart slowly.

She was halfway through doing the dishes before there was a knock at the door. Jessie groaned as she dried her hands on a dish cloth and heading for the door when she heard another rapid knock.

"I'm coming. I'm coming" Jessie mumbled as she shuffled towards the door suffering yet another round of knocks.

Another thing that had come of their split. Jessie was getting frustrated a lot more easily. Which was strange for the Canadian. Jessie was always more on the quiet side sure, but she was always kind and understanding. Another thing that Jessie had cursed Elliot for.

She felt like she didn't know who she was anymore.

But she shook it off. Jessie couldn't keep taking out her feelings on everyone around her. She winced as she remembered how easily she snapped at Jules earlier for the smallest of things.

Jessie took a deep breath as she held the doorknob. Starting now she was going to go back to how she was. She opened the door with a smile.

Yeah she spoke too soon

Her smile faltered when she saw who it was and she quickly slammed the door shut.

"Jessie!" She groaned from the other side of the door. "C'mon open the door!" Jessie just scowls as she leans her back against the door. She knows that it's unlikely that she would try and barge the door open but she really didn't want to take any chances. "Jessie c'mon. Just open the door so we can talk".
