Hey guys!!! It's been a while. Sorry about that everything has been crazy with college and assignments and I've also been really sick recently so it's kinda one after the other thing. And I was hoping to get this out for Jessie's birthday but sadly it didn't happen cause I had a presentation today and with St Patrick's day coming up I just had no time. BUT I hope this makes up for it cause this update is definitely one of the biggest with 10,600 words (exactly). Just a little warning definitely don't think this is one of my better works but with everything happening it was the best I could do. But with that in mind I hope you guys enjoy. Until next time, bye!!!
"Have you talked to her yet?"
Elliot stopped typing on her laptop for a bit. Glancing up at Rose briefly before going back to her laptop. "No".
"Why not?"
Now Elliot turned to Mal with a raised eyebrow. "I think I am the last person on earth she wants to see right now". Once again her eyes are drawn back to the laptop, "Despite what you all think, I moved out of the house for a reason. I think I would do more damage than good".
"Yeah but the last time you guys talked well everyone was on edge. Neither of you were thinking. Maybe now's the perfect time to talk everything out now that both of you have had time to settle" Mal tries.
But Elliot just ignores her as she once more looks up from her work. Her eyes settle on the ring on the forwards finger before fixing her with a look. "Don't you have somewhere more important to be? Like planning your wedding? With your fiancé?"
Mal sheepishly plays with her ring before crossing her arms and putting the ring out of view.
Elliot sighs as she rubs her eyes. "Look I'm sorry". Elliot looks at Mal a soft look, "I'm really happy for you and Dansby. Seriously. You shouldn't have to hide it or play it down for my benefit". Elliot got this faraway look in her eyes. "You deserve to be happy. You should be screaming it from the rooftops that you're about to marry the love of your life".
Rose and Mal shared a look as Elliot once again focused on the screen in her lap. Both knowing that she wasn't just talking about Mal just then.
Mal looked at her cautiously nodding. "Your right. I know I haven't brought it up much with you. And it's not because you're not one of my best friends or I don't want you there it's just-"
Elliot cuts her off without looking up, "You don't want to bring it up after everything with Jessie".
Mal sighs, "Yeah".
Elliot bites her lip before setting aside the laptop and got her. Crossing the room to where Mal stood and grabbed both her hands making sure to let Mal know she was being sincere. "I get it Mal. But this is your wedding. The happiest day of your life! You should be able to gush and celebrate about it without having to worry about me". Her shoulders drooped a bit, "And I'm sorry you felt like you had to downplay it for me".
Mal looks at her friend and pulls her into a hug which Elliot happily returns. "I'm happy for you Mal Pal".
Mal giggles kissing her cheek. "Thanks Wonder kid".
Elliot groans but before she could pull away she feels a weight on her back. Then thing she knows she's being sandwiched between the two.
"Hey! I was feeling left out!"
The two giggle at Rose's pout before separating. Elliot grabbed a glass from the counter as she filled it with water.
"Ellie?"
She hummed showing she was listening as she waiting for the two to continue.
"You know we love you right?"
