chapter 17

It's now Tuesday and I'm lying in my bed and I message nick.

Heyyyyy nicky I'm not coing into  school today I feel to sick. I'll call you when you get back from school xxxx

Awwwww babi you'll be fine. I'll be round in a bit. I just need to hop on the bus to come back xxxxxx

Nooooo just stay in school you've been their for an hour doing revision. There's no point in coming back just for me

I'm on the bus I'll be there in 15 mins xxxx

Fine! But you have to stay downstairs so you don't get sick too xxx

He didn't message back so I turn on my TV and watch an episode of my favourite show heartstopper.

Heartstopper is a series on Netflix about these two boys who fall in love and I kid you not all the characters have the same name as all my friends but there's no y/n. It's completely different from our lives though because nick and Charlie fall in love and harry is more rude to everyone in the series. I think it's a cute series but that might just my opinion.

After a while I hear the front door open. And someone come the stairs. I see the door open and i see nick holding a bag smiling at me.

"Here you go" he says

"Awww you didn't have to"

"I did. Now look inside" he replies

I take the bag and take the stuff out. I see a Teddy bear, my favourite chocolate, one of his jumpers and a card. I open the card and read it.

I hope you feel better soon. I don't want to go to school and not be with you. You're my rock. I really hope this isn't permanent and is only temporary. I don't like how you're feeling this way and you're hurting while I'm here standing (or sitting) next to you feeling healthy while you're feeling all gloomy qnd like you will die in the next second or something. I want to do as much as I can to make sure you'll be feeling healthy again so if that means I have to be by your side 24/7 I'll be by your side 24/7. Even if it means I will get sick I'll get sick because I want to not because I'm being forced to look after you or anything. So I hope you feel better immediately so we can go back to normal. <3

"Awwwww thank you. You're so cute" Isay while blushing

"Well you're most certainly welcome malady"

He sits down on my bed and stokes my hair. I lean my head into his cupped hand and smile at him. After a while I close my eyes and fall asleep.

Nicks pov

It's now been a couple hours and when I mean a couple I mean a lot of hours. I go upstairs and wake y/n up.

"Y/n it's time for lunch/dinner whatever you call it. Come on y/n it time for food"

She starts to stir in her sleep. I stoke her hair and she starts to wake up.

"Afternoon" I smile

"Afternoon" she says groggily

I chuckle

"Are you feeling any better"

"A bit" she replies

I get her food and give it to her. I sit on the chair in her bedroom that I moved closer to her bed.

"I don't like feeling sick" y/n whines

I sadly smile and put my hand on her knee

"Yeah I don't think anyone does" I reply

After a while I bring the plates downstairs and go back upstairs. I sit at the bottom of y/ns bed and look over at her. I smile seeing she has my jumper on qnd lean my head on the wall. I feel my eyes get drousy and I fall asleep.

After a while I wake up with y/n cuddling up to me and my arm wrapped around her. I smile and kiss her head. I check the time and see it's 8:49pm. I gently unwrap my arm from her and lean her head on the pillow. I get off the bed and go downstairs. As I'm walking downstairs i hear the TV on and so I go into the living room. I see y/ns mom watching the TV.

"Hey nick" she says as she sees me

"Hi" I smile still standing at the door

"How's y/n doing"

"She's a lot better now she's been able to rest"

"Yeah that's good. I saw you two sleeping so I left you to it. I've also done you both dinner but I've left it in the oven. Just take it out and warm it up in the microwave"

"Thanks" I answer

"Are you staying over" she asks as I walk to the kitchen

"Yeah I might as well. I'll look after y/n as I know you have to leave early for work"

"Yeah tomorrow I have to leave at 4. I might go get my rest now that I think about it"

I smile and nod.

"Yeah you don't want to be tired in the morning. Night"

"Night nick"

She turns off the living room light and goes upstairs. I heat up the food and bring it upstairs. I see y/n asleep still. So I lightly shove her.

"Y/n do you want tea" I whisper ask

She shakes her head tiredly, turns on her bed and goes back to sleep. I smile and eat my food. After a while I gently get back into y/ns bed and cuddle up to her. I smile and kiss her head. After admiring her I start to feel tired so I fall asleep.
