Raven POV

This week was just too much. I just wanted to get it over with already. I guess Manny was cool and all but I don't know.

Tuesday 1:30pm(4th period)

Dear Raven,

All of this is insane. I don't even know you. Don't take it the wrong way it's just you know, I don't talk outside of my usual friends. Don't you think it's kind of weird how everybody got paired? I mean cmon my girl got Fred as a partner he weird. Look I don't think we will have nothing in common. Besides my girl always looking at us every second.

Dear Manny,

I don't think so, and none taken. I guess for you it would be social sucide but who cares about that nowadays? I'm sure she'll understand it's just a grade. Like you said you don't know me so how could you know if you have anything in common with me? Don't be so judgemental Fred is quiet but you could never know anyones situation.

Dear Raven,

You might be right but I still think this whole thing is corny if you ask me. So who do you hang with? I see you around but often alone. What you do in your spare time? Your a smart girl I'm sure you have a lot of free time on your hands.

The bell rung as I rushed out towards my locker. Putting up my things I closed my locker and Ashley stood beside me. "Oh my god you scared me." I said holding my chest.

"You stood me up. You should be scared." "I tried calling you but you didn't answer." I said. "Yeah you called me right after I texted you." She said annoyed.

"Baby I'll make it up to you I promise." "Yeah you better or else you'll be looking for a new girlfriend." She said. She kissed my lips and hugged me.

In the mist Manny stood close. Slamming his locker shut he walks off quickly.

Wednesday 1:35(4th period)

Dear Raven,

Okay now I see. No wonder why your always alone. I don't have a problem with gay people. Only the in the closet ones. What kind of guy do you think I am? I knew it then at the skate fair when I saw you all extra friendly together. See I knew the goody two shoes act was just a front. I dont think I want to continue on with this stupid project.

First of all, I wasn't hiding it to begin with. Okay cool I can't help she a fun girl so hanging with her is like bomb. Anyways if you don't have a problem with gay people why are you so quick to risk your first big project?

The bell rung as I once again left the notebook in Manny's hands. Going to my locker I put up some stuff. Closing my locker shut I went about my day.

Thursday 1:45pm(4th period)

Dear Raven,

Look I kind of dig you a little as a person. So look I think I may of found the perfect topic for our project. I'm not a complete moron. Just don't take it the wrong way. I feel you can be opened minded. Girl boy relations vs gay relation. Sleep on it and let me know or just speak on it now.

Oh now your interested in this assignment I see. I will not discuss it. I am opened minded so I'll think about it. Seriously though your topic. I'll have you know that straight and gay couples are the same for your fyi.

I would hope your not ashamed because the topic stands. Trust me Raven the teach said nothing about this project gets out of the class. I need my grade and with your help we'll ace it and have the best topic in class. So listen I got a couple quick questions for you. So do you plan on like getting married, or having kids, or what?

Dear Manny,

You are truly a mess you know. Ok let's get it then. You want to go there okay let me take you there. It's not back in the day ok. We're in a new age era son gay couples are allowed the right to marry in some states. I'm not thinking about kids right now so that part is not up for decision period. Like I've stated gay couples are no different from straight couples.

Once the bell rung I craved an ice tea once school let out I got some and went home. Doing all my homework I went outside on the porch.

Sitting on the porch Ashley called me. "Hello." I answered. "What you doing?" Ashley asked. "Chilling outside sipping on tea." "Raven I miss you." She said. "We just saw each other." I said.

"I know I miss kissing you. So my bestfriend supposed to be coming back this year I want you meet her." She said. "Okay that's cool your friends are mines right?" "Right but I got to warn you she a bit much."

"That's pretty much every girl at brookhaven so it should be normal." I said hopefully. The rest of my evening was ok expect those moments when Pierre would stare me down.

Friday 1:30 pm (4th period)

Dear Raven,

Okay fine but still people tend to give you negative stares. People have a lot to say about gay relationships. Are you sure your not ashamed? What if it got out? Besides let's say it did get exposed what would you do? Why don't people know you and Ashley date?

Dear Manny,

It's nobody's business that is clear. I am not ashamed for the last time. Why are you so interested in my relations? Not once have I metaled into your relationship. If it did get exposed so what don't make me none. If it makes the exposer feel better as a person to downplay somebody else happiness so be it. I'm still Raven Scarlett at the end of the day.

Yeah your right but I'm just going along with our topic at hand. Sorry for being a bit to personal but it interests me no lie. It just does though Raven I dont understand it. So is this like a phase thing or a lifelong thing for you?

Dear Manny,

I am a teenage girl so everything is a phase until I meet all my potential goals. Anyways over the weekend wrap it up and I'll see you next week for finishing touches on this assignment. Have a fun and safe weekend.
